Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (December 7, 2007)
BREAKING NEWS: LUKE INVITES NOAH TO SPEND THE NIGHT! Putting the two fellows together under the same roof over the holidays does beg the question about who sleeps where. I know what Nuke fans want for Christmas — our boys to finally hook-up. So will it happen? Well, given they are teenagers staying at Luke's family's farm, it wouldn't surprise me if Lily or Holden (not sure who will be there given the divorce and all) put the kibosh on that, but you never know. The fellas could sneak away for some alone time! BTW, here is the holiday card I'm hoping to get from Nuke!
THAT'S ONE POLL THAT HIT A NERVE!
Comments regarding the results ranged from "Great list" to "Sigh" and "have you people lost your *(@*#_&$ minds!" I'm still getting emails from folks who are ticked about the results. But my favorite comment was the one congratulating us for reporting our results accurately. Hey, we're not the Florida or Ohio Republican Attorney General here! Mostly the resulting debate was how two characters so widely perceived to be negative — Brian because he is arrogant and kind of a jerk and Jack because he's such a vapid stereotype — could place so highly. Well, obviously a lot of people don't perceive them that way at all. As for me, I wasn't shocked Brian Kinney finished first, especially given how well Gale Harold (who plays Kinney) did in our Hot 100 Poll. He certainly didn't get my vote, but in reading the very insightful comments (you don't see this kind of commentary over on Perezhilton.com!) posted by our readers, I understand why he did so well. The issue seems to boil down to whether being a negative stereotype in certain ways invalidates one from being lionized in a list such as ours. Brent and I (aka Two Gay Guys) put together a vlog with our thoughts on the matter! Submitted by on Fri, 2007-12-07 01:54. |
