Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (February 29, 2008)Not all the amazing looking women were wearing red at the Oscars. Clockwise from upper right we have Pushing Daisies' Kristin Chenoweth looking amazing in this backless outfit (and she was great singing "That's How You Know" from Enchanted). Dreamgirl's Jennifer Hudson came across nearly as nervous as Katherine Heigl. Tilda Swinton's acceptance speech for her surprise win for Michael Clayton was as unusual as her movie choices and Juno's Ellen Page looked like she was just having fun.
Naturally, the men dressed with about as much flair as they always do. Heck, even I could do a little better. At least Viggo added a little splash of color.
Josh Brolin, Colin Farrell, Denzel Washington, Viggo Mortensen
Other than Scott Rudin, the Oscars themselves weren't terribly gay, but thankfully Elton John's post-Oscar bash is still the place to be seen afterward and it was a whole lot more gay!
Hosted by Elton and partner David Furnish, attendees included Ross "The Intern" Matthews (top row, center) and out director John Waters (top row, right). Is anyone else surprised that Ross rated an invite? Nothing against him, mind you, but if he got an invite, I'm thinking I got snubbed.
Milk's Sean Penn (left) showed up as did former Brothers & Sisters' gay love interest Jason Lewis (center) along with Portia De Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres.
I'm curious about something: do you folks enjoy pictures from events like the Oscars? I'm happy to do them, but they do take a bit of work and I'm never certain if folks are interested or not. So here is a poll asking you that very thing. (Since I discovered I can do online polls, I've become poll happy! Coming next week: a poll on whether you like polls!)
