I'm from Texas and I know plenty of people who don't like and/or haven't voted for Rick Perry. He won the last election, in my opinion, just because there were too many people running against him. And actually, while this is pure gossip, a lot of people say the governor's gay, and that he's got a young boy-toy/bf that might be a UT student. Most of the time someone brings that up, they're of the Republican party, but alas, it's just a rumor... I think. ACW '08

After the end of the relationship with his lover and best mate, Craig Dean who left HO in september bound to Dublin, John Paul Mc Queen is embarking on an affair with a "very surprising member of the community" (as Bryan Kirkwood, Hollyoaks Producer, revealed in october)....a catholic priest. From wikipedia: After arriving in early January 2008, Kieron was revealed to be the village's newest priest. He was immediately taken in by fervent church-goer Myra McQueen, who offered him room. In early 2008, John Paul met Robin, the new barman. Once it had been revealed that Robin was also gay, and John Paul had built up the courage to ask him out, they decided to go on a date together. However, Father Kieron saw Robin and John Paul kissing in the toilets at SU bar. Later, John Paul asked him to keep quiet and not tell to his mother, Myra, which he agreed to, but she later found out when Robin started arguing with Father Kieron about his relationship with John Paul. Myra confronted John Paul, and John Paul erroneously blamed Father Kieron. When Father Kieron voiced his concerns that Robin was flirting with other men behind John Paul's back, John Paul took this to mean that Kieron was a homophobe. After John Paul found Robin flirting with other men, he went home and told Kieron about it. He said that Kieron would never understand how he felt, leading Kieron to come out to John Paul as gay too. John Paul insisted Kieron tell Myra the truth or he would, which Kieron flatly refused. He accused John Paul of being self-involved, saying that John Paul was a teenage boy who had his own issues and that Kieron had made his own choice. Kieron defended his beliefs and informed John Paul of his celibacy. As Kieron prepared to move out, John Paul apologised and convinced him to stay with them. During the SU Bar's Charity Fashion Show, which John Paul was meant to be DJing at, some of the male models call in sick and his sister Carmel convinces Father Kieron to model, which he agrees to under the condition that John Paul models as well. However, following the raid on the Dog in the Pond (the local pub), John Paul and Kieron are left to clean up the mess. They reward themselves by helping themselves to some beer they found, and as the beer flows, they start to enjoy each other's company more. Kieron starts to talk about how he likes John Paul, thinking he is smart and funny, and this leads them to share a kiss together. However, it is interrupted by a student entering the bar, leaving both men embarrassed.

I must say that I agree with you Micheal. It's not everything a gay storyline can be... and I'm honestly not sure if it ever will be. But the writers and the producers and most especially the actors do their best despite the restraints that are clearly placed upon them by upper management. And while I wouldn't say this too loudly, I'm actually enjoying the new story with Ameera. The first couple of days were painful to watch, but that has mostly to do with the heavy handed and horrendously clunky dialog, but as the week wore on the dynamic between the three has been quickly established and Tala works well with and has an interesting chemistry with the boys. For me, what it comes right down to is that I when I get annoyed with the show, Van and Jake's performances manage to overcome the material, win me over and make me love Luke and Noah all over again.

I contributed this past week to the SUPPORT LUKE & NOAH IN THE MEDIA WEEK and your comments on ATWT echo our mantra. We contacted every major media outlet in the country and stressed that we applaud ATWT for this breakthrough effort and fully support the show and want them to continue telling the Luke and Noah story. Our beef was that someone somewhere apparently has decided that two young men in a loving, committed relationship can not touch lips or that would be offensive to the audience while the non-stop graphic sex and violence on the rest of the show is NOT offensive. That is my only issue with it at the moment. I spoke with a reporter from the Associated Press this week and I think he got that.

On the one hand Ameera pulls the boys out of the sidelines into Big All-Encompassing Plot -- just like everyone else on the show. Who is this woman? Is she for real? Why does she love Psycho Dad so much? Obvioulsy it'll take MONTHS to get these questions so much as partially answered. Meanwhile (this is the other hand) we've got two gorgeous teenagers in love who rarely kiss and have never done the deed! Maybe we should treat ATWT as science fiction. After all every other male on the show has my Gaydar pinging off the charts -- and they're supposed to be straight!

If you want to see guys kissing, try someplace other than American TV. On Hollyoaks for example, John Paul and Kieron have already kissed once and Kieron is a frickin' Catholic priest! Watching European TV makes you realize how absurd the ATWT Nuke debacle really is. Soaps are about sex. Why else would the fans (mostly female by the way) watch them? Thank god with Youtube we finally have some options for gay representation on TV.

As for the other out gay man in the SATC trailer, was that a brief glimpse of Jack Mackenroth I saw? Shame you couldn't see his elbows, the tattoos would have confirmed it.

Given the set-up of that scene, what's happening on screen, and what Jack told AE in his interview weeks ago. I didn't watch much SATC, but I watched enough that the movie should be fun.

I wish Orlando Bloom was on Men In Trees. Maybe I'd actually watch it then...

If anyone really wants to know what the shows says I can translate it, I lived in Germany for a long time and it's also my major in college, so it'd be easy for me. If anyone is interested let me know, because I don't want to waste my time doing it if no one wants to know

As much as I'd love to see Orlando Bloom snogging another man, I believe it was Orlando Jones you missed seeing on 'Men In Trees'.

I was also thinking about the ubiquity of the "Twin Gay Porn Actor Burglars" headline splashed all over news outlets and was wondering if it would have even rated a mention had the "gay porn" aspect not been present.  Despite claims that the media is run by pro-gay liberals it doesn't always show given the tendency put focus on otherwise unremarkable stories like this that have a salacious gay element to them.

Now, as for Jimmy Kimmel and Ben Affleck, I'm sorry but I did find it funny.  Granted his musical number wasn't any good, but it was an amusing response to Sarah's video and made sense because of the Matt Damon thing.  Doubtless Jimmy wished that he'd been saying all along that they'd run out of time so that Brad Pitt couldn't be on his show.  But I think that criticizing the enthusiam of Jimmy kissing Ben is a little unfair.  He is straight after all, and this wasn't supposed to be any kind of acting.  I honestly can't say I'd be any more enthused if I had to kiss some actress.

I know we'd all be happier watching Ben and Matt make out, but you can't always get what you really want.

I know there wasn't the liplock everyone wants but I like the show. The nuzzling and kissing were great. How many of the other couples do this? That would be none. They have no constraints on their behavior so they jump into bed or whever they happen to be. The interplay between Jake and Van is always great. The things I like and appreciate far out weigh the things that are wrong. I know people don't agree but it doesn't matter. As you said there is nowhere else we are going to see this. I liked the PSA after the show. They seem to hear us and are trying. As for Ameera I dislike her and think she is setting them up for daddy dearest.

I think they're setting up Noah to marry Ameera to get her a green card. Hell if Will and Grace can do it for a frickin CANADIAN, anything is possible. That's probably why Luke keeps giving her the evil eye. He's seen the future scripts. And what was with the nurse in the hospital asking Ameera if she was Noah's girlfriend, right in front of Luke, and NO ONE setting her straight? They aren't being consistent with Luke's character. Before he would have never stood for that without speaking up, or at least jumping on Noah for not speaking up.

There's also been "Greg" (Ben Jones) and "Rico" (Felix d'Alviella) on the UK soap 'Doctors'. It ended about a year ago. They got married and the pictures are mostly from the very last episode they appeared in. They moved to Denmark to raise Rico's son together.

It all started in 2003 (or so) with the character "Olli" (Laurence Penry-Jones) on 'Doctors'. He started straight (I think). Then appeared "Greg" and the two of them became an item. "Olli" left 'Doctors' and "Greg" stayed. He became involved with "Tom" (Mark Healy) - a storyline I quite liked. "Tom" died of cancer though and "Greg" had a hard time to get over him. On one of his holidays to Central America he met "Rico" who came back with him to the UK.

I have a question - how does one get television excerpts to so good quality clips onto YouTube? Do I have to watch TV via my computer? Or does it work with digital TV? But how do I get anything from the TV to my PC? Sorry if this a utterly stupid question, but any help would be appreciated!
