News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (March 7, 2008)

IMHO — THIS WEEK IN GAY TV

TORCHWOOD: Any episode that kills off Owen gets an "up" arrow from me. Make that a dozen up arrows. Except who believes he's really dead? They're going to toss him in the rift of "find" an alien device that brings annoying supporting characters back to life. Wait — those are called plot holes, aren't they. Well, three cheers anyway for Martha Jones!

TORCHWOOD: Ianto keeps looking great, but when did he get special training so he can bark orders like he's been military all of his life? Did he attend a weekend seminar? Do an internet course? Be sure to check out Steven's recap.

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Noah bounces back from his assault, frets over how Ameera is faring at her first college mixer and rushes to her rescue when the Feds haul her away. If he hasn't already earned his Wholesome as Whole Milk merit badge, give it to him now.

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Meanwhile, Luke is so randy, he's barely paying any attention to how Ameera is faring and isn't being very culturally sensitive. Or is he just worried that Ameera is going to come between him and his man? Somebody send him my column so he knows he doesn't have anything to worry about!

MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL: ***SPOILER ALERT***The only reason Ronnie Kroell is in the bottom three is because they needed a third. There is no way he is going home, but be sure to vote anyway just to be sure. To Vote for Ronnie: Dial 1-866-I-WANT-01, or Text 1 to 5-1555 Bravo.com to vote there. BTW, be sure to check out last night's liveblog! Things got pretty steamy between Ronnie and Ben.

SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA: ***SPOILER ALERT*** Even though he is no Todd Herzog, somehow Chet keeps hanging in there week after week while big ol' straight boys who can't stand him, keep falling by the way side. Um, I can live with that.

PROJECT RUNWAY: Christian was actually adorable while he waited to hear if he had won or lost. He finally seemed vulnerable and not just a talented cocky kid needing to be taken down a peg. While his talent is undeniable, I have to say I actually found Jillian's collection to be more appealing. Said the guy wearing pajama bottoms and a T-shirt at 3 p.m.

BIG BROTHER 9: I'm filing a class action lawsuit to get BB9 off the air, or at least Joshuah off the show. I thought last season was bad enough with the two gay contestants arguing over who gave who a venereal disease. Now we have Joshuah describing gay sex and not even knowing what he's talking about when it comes to safe sex!
