IMHO — THIS WEEK IN GAY TV
GREEK: Wait a minute — Calvin has so much screentime that he has storylines that don't involve his being gay? What madness is this! If this were a normal show, he would've been gay-bashed, then left in the background with the extras. Or become a closeted Republican serial killer. Well, there's always next season.
TORCHWOOD: I am SO insulted! Two gay/bi/omnisexual men meeting in a park late at night? Why not just have George Michael show up for a cameo? And I guess their beating up the weevil symbolizes their own slef-hatred and self-loathing. Or am I reading too much into this whole thing?
TORCHWOOD: Not only did we get Ianto's backstory, but the pterodactyl's as well. And Ianto keeps turning out to be deeper and more complicated with every episode. I especially loved the fact he was crying as he turned away after Jack finally gave him a job. Anyone else wondering what was up with that?
BEAUTY AND THE GEEK: I'm sorry, but what kind of geek doesn't know which actors have played James Bond! Especially Daniel Craig! Is Greg blind? Someone revoke his gay geek card pronto! Actually, I feel a little bad for Greg as he was saddled with a beauty who's mouth was as big as the Atlantic and guaranteed to get them axed.
His name is Craig, you goof! Daniel Craig! No GLAAD award for you!
GROOMER HAS IT: I found Jai Rodriguez's new show surprisingly engaging. Or at least I did until that one groomer decided to sniff one of the dog's derrierres. Seriously. And I was eating.
FORBIDDEN LOVE: Kisses! Hugs! Towel wearing! More kisses! Romantic moments! More kisses! Sappy sweet talk! Ich bin ein Verboten Liebe!
WORKOUT: Jackie and her wacky crew is back and nutty as ever. JD hasn't arrived yet, but we did get to meet Jesse's new boyfriend. Lord only knows what madness lies ahead for these crazy kids. If you missed it, be sure to check out our interview with Jesse and JD!
