Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (May 2, 2008)

IMHO — THIS WEEK IN GAY TV

THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW: I told you to watch it, but I bet you didn't listen. Not only was Graham his usual hilariously gay self, but Kevin Bacon told a pretty hilarious anecdote about "googlebating" himself and what he found as a result. Here, I'll just show it to you, but this week you better watch Graham for yourself! (BTW, some stick figure graphics may note be safe work!)

REAPER: Steve (Michael Ian Black) might be dead (or is that back in hell?), but Tony (Ken Marino) is still alive and kicking. Make that kick ass. When he's in his demon form, he's the baddest gay ass on the planet. I chatted with Marino this week about the role and the best thing he told me is that Tony is around for all the rest of the season.

BROTHERS & SISTERS: Oh, Kevin, you're just so darned practical. Which is fine, but you really should have known how Scotty would react to your offer of a "merger" to get him health benefits. But your heart is definitely in the right place — as we'll all see next week!

BROTHERS & SISTERS: Poor Scotty clearly isn't ready to compete on Top Chef, but our boy has his pride nonetheless. I appreciate that he knows what he wants and isn't afraid to hold out for it. But for future reference, Scotty, you're supposed to cut away from yourself.

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Poor Noah, caught between a potential Alex Forrest and a drama queen boyfriend who of late whines more than an engine on a Boeing 747. Hmm, I hear Jason McCallister is still single over on Brothers & Sisters....

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Oh for crying out loud, Luke, stop your incessant whining. First, you're fine with things, then you're not. You agreed to this sham set-up and as soon as you get to move in with Noah, you get all huffy and leave. And, yes, I'm really talking to the show's writers. BTW, three cheers to Van for his Emmy nod! In case you missed it, here is the announcement!

AS THE WORLD TURNS: I never expected to give Ameera an up arrow, but this week she finally seemed to recollect Luke and Noah were doing her a favor and graciously agreed to move out of the bedroom. With Captain Pervy coming back soon, maybe she should consider divorcing Noah and marrying him instead. How very Dynasty.

greekbgwe52GREEK: If Calvin doesn't show up more prominently next week, he's going to be dangerously close to becoming a "barely-there" gay character along with some other gay characters including Cliff on Ugly Betty and Andrew on Desperate Housewives. That's really unfortunate, as one of the things I like about Calvin is that his storylines extend beyond his being gay. Plus, his current low profile is starting to make me a little concerned how his romantic storyline with Max Greenfield is going to play out.
