Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (September 5, 2008)

ON YOUR MARKS! GET SET! WATCH!
While we published our Best Gay TV Preview Ever last month to coincide with the start of ABC Family’s Greek, we all know the fall TV season doesn’t really start until after Labor Day which was this week. So in honor of that, I’d thought I’d take a moment to make some predictions, offer some wishes, and have some fun with the fall television season.

Guys I hope we see lots of!

1) The Men of Top Design Bravo’s attempt to jump start the second season of their reality design show is really going with the gay including a Team Gay that comes in various shapes, sizes and colors (well, a little color). Add in the out Todd Oldham and Jonathan Adler and you’ve got the gayest and most diverse show since…well, the last episode of Project Runway.

Kerry, Preston, Nathan (bottom row, left to right)

2) Allan Louis, Privileged This native of Haiti speaks in such mellifluous tones (he speaks English, Spanish, and Creole!) that while interviewing him I found myself nearly hypnotized – Michael, you will rave abut my show! Louis has bounced around Hollywood for quite some time now with appearances on Boston Legal, Numb3rs, and Cane just to name a few of his credits. Privileged could be his big break, except, well, see below.

3) Charlie Herschel, Survivor: Gabon A cute, smart twentysomething New York attorney? I want a gay showmance now!

4) Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Do Not Disturb While I hated the first couple episodes of this sitcom, it does feature Jesse Tyler Ferguson who was such a breath of fresh air in The Class as Richie Velch. He’s an unlikely sex-symbol, but the guy has a certain something and I hope DNR improves enough to be worth Jesse’s considerable talents. But I'm not holding my breath.

5) The Men of Shirts & Skins Logo’s (AfterElton.com’s parent company) latest entry in the reality sweepstakes is truly something different – a diverse group of out gay men who excel at playing basketball. See, Matthew Mitcham isn’t the only out athlete worth cheering for!
