What's so gay about "Bride Wars"?

Michael Arden and Kate Hudson prepare for battle (Pics courtesy 20th Century Fox)

Any movie that's about two female BFFs (Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson) getting into a knock-out-drag-down battle royale over competing weddings has to have at least a drop of queer content, right?

Well, yes and no — find out all the spoiler-ish goods on Bride Wars, after the jump!

Mustache Ride: A salute to ten classic celebrity 'staches

Oh, Brad; oh, George. Sexiest Men Alive you may be, but surely you've learned by now that the mustache is not for everyone.

With Pitt stating that he'd like to bring back the 'stache and the Huffington Post naming 2008 "The Year of the Mustache", we thought it might be fun to take a look back at some of the upper lip's finer furry moments.

Here's a purely subjective list of 10 mustache-wearers who got away with it...

1. Clark Gable. MGM made him shave it off for Parnell, and it was one of his few flops, so he clearly had a Samson thing going on with his 'stache. Women (and any number of men) swooned for Gable's scorching screen sexuality, and the facial hair played a big role in his success.

2. Burt Reynolds. Sporting perhaps the quintessential 1970s mustache, Reynolds was one of the decade's reigning sex gods. And thanks to his nearly-nude centerfold in Cosmopolitan magazine, post-Stonewall gays could objectify practically every inch of the Smokey and the Bandit star.

Which other notables wore one better? Find out after the jump.

New on DVD: "X-Files", mean dogs, kinky Romans, gross-out humor

This week's new DVDs include everything from a TV fave's homophobic big-screen sequel to controversial cult classics to potty humor. Make your way through it all, after the jump!

  • "The Transporter": Ex-gay?

One of the most appealing elements of the Transporter series of films — besides the frequent shirtlessness of star Jason Statham — has been the idea (fomented by one of the creators of the first two movies) that the lead character is gay.

Transporter 3, alas, suggests otherwise. Find out more after the jump!

Out at the Movies: What's gayer, "Milk" or "Transporter 3"?

The big news in gay movies is that a screen biography of slain gay rights pioneer Harvey Milk finally hits the big screen today. But did you know we're also getting a new installment of what's probably the gayest international action movie franchise in contemporary cinema?
