"Heights" is Worth a Rental

Heights DVD
I had a chance to watch Heights last night, an indie movie based on a play that came and went with little attention back in 2004.

Glenn Close plays a New York theater diva, and its great fun watching her chew the scenery while rehearsing the role of Lady Macbeth.

Glenn's character has a thing for young men, and things get complicated when she sets her sights on a struggling young actor (Jesse Bradford) who lives in the same building as her daughter (Elizabeth Banks) and her secretly bisexual fiance (James Marsden).

The gay issues are handled with intelligence and the plot takes some very surprising turns. If you haven't seen Heights yet, it is definitely worth a rental.
