Did Pam Anderson bust Kid Rock over the word gay?

I'm going to take this was a grain of salt as both of the reports I've read so far come from less than reputable internet sites, but shortly before Pam Anderson and Kid Rock called it quits on their short-lived marriage they got into a tiff over his use of the word "gay". The discussion came during an interview with GQ magazine about their wedding in St. Tropez. They exchange apparently went like this: In reference to his having his sung a U2 song at their wedding Kid said "That just takes the gay meter right up to the end." Pam, a pretty good friend of the gays retorted with "That's enough with the gay word. That's not nice." Responded Rock, "It's a new word. All the kids are using it." If the accounts are accurate, then three cheers for Pam for publicly chiding her soon-to-be ex-hubby for using the word that way. We've talked a lot about the power of celebrities. Here is an example of how they can use that power for the better by getting out the message that the word "gay" shouldn't be used to describe something negative.
