Brad Pitt Not Breaking His Marriage Vow After All?

A few months back Brad Pitt wrote a piece for Esquire magazine ("15 Things I Think Everyone Should Know"). Among his observations was one on marriage: "Angie and I will get married when everyone else in the country is legally able." It was a high-minded sentiment, but the cynic in me thought Brad was just covering for the fact that Angelina Jolie didn't want to actually to marry him.

But over the weekend reports surfaced that Pitt and Jolie were planning to tie the knot in Johannesburg. So what gives?

Was the guy going back on his word so soon? Well, perhaps not. In the Esquire piece, Pitt never actually specifies which "country" he is referring to, and it turns out that South Africa began allowing gay marriages just this month. So, technically, Brad would not be going back on his word if he and Angelina got hitched in South Africa. In any case, Pitt's camp is now claiming the marriage rumors are false.
