Rumor mill: Barrowman to romance Bond?

I'm highly suspicious of this little tidbit, but then again this is our blog so I'm going to share the rumor circulating in the U.K. that John Barrowman is going to play the baddie in the next Bond movie. And not just any baddie, but a gay one who romances Bond (Daniel Craig). The ticket line forms right behind me. No pushing! The item was supposedly printed in something called New! Magazine in the U.K. Here is the whole item:

He may have started out on children's show Live and Kicking back in the 90s, but I can reveal that John is about to prove a hit in Hollywood, having bagged a job presenting on E! Entertainment and signing up to front its coverage of the forthcoming Bafta Awards. Even better, John's role as Captain Jack Harkness has brought him to the attention of the producers of the next James Bond movie. In fact, they want to cast the gay actor as a baddie who tries to seduce the famous spy, played by Daniel Craig. A mole tells me, "He is ideal and we have had discussions about it. A reader sent this to me from a Barrowman fan site so I would take the news with a big grain of salt. That being said, Craig did indicate he thought it was about time Bond added a gay romance and that he was up for it. Frankly, I can't imagine anyone better than Barrowman for the part. So we're digging (we actually have a source close to the movie) and will let you know if we get confirmation. Keep your fingers crossed! Given the Bond tradition of rather salacious names for Bond's love interests and baddies what should Barrowman's character be named? I'm think something less crass than Pussy Galore, but fun nonetheless. On your marks, get set, go!
