Josh Aterovis's blogSurvivor Gaycaps - Big Gay Todd Takes It All
By now, you've read it in the recap, heard about it in the news, and seen our interview with the winner of Survivor: China, the openly gay - and very cute - Todd Herzog. But what happened in the final episode? What crazy secrets did we learn at the Live Reunion Show? And more importantly, who looked good and who didn't? As you might have guessed with this bunch, there was plenty of drama and plenty to talk about. Jon and I do our best to hit all the high (and low) points of four hours of television. It's a long one, so grab a cup of coffee (or your favorite cocktail) and enjoy the show! And yes, we did film the vlog in our undies ... Watch the video after the break. It was another great episode of Survivor: China this week, but I think the vlog might even be more entertaining. I'll get to that in a second. It's family reunion week, which means there are tears and drama aplenty, Courtney sinks to a new low, and everyone seems to be gunning for Todd. Will he survive another week? Watch the video to find out, and find out what we thought about this week's episode. Jon has been sick all week and, as he puts it in the vlog, he was "hopped up" on cold medicine when we recorded this week's gaycap. It makes for some interesting footage, especially when he seems to get confused about whether we're recapping Survivor or Ugly Betty. Enjoy after the break... Submitted by on Mon, 2007-12-10 13:00. Survivor Gaycaps - Don't Bite the Apple
After a week off due to Thanksgiving and a clip show, we're back with a new, edge-of-your-seat episode. We've got awesome rewards, power plays from unexpected sources, and ninja throwing stars. Amanda decides it's time to it's time to go after James, but will he be dumb enough to fall for it, or will the plan backfire thanks to Peigh-Gee and send Big Gay Todd home? So who went home? And what did we think of all the goings on? Watch the video after the jump, then share your thoughts with us. Maybe we'll give you a shout out in next week's Survivor Gaycap! Big Gay Todd survived another week. The end. Well, not really, but it might as well be. This past episode wasn't as riveting as the previous weeks have been. Pei-Gee painted a big red target on her chest, but managed to dodge the bullet by winning immunity. That left the rest of the tribe with the perfect opportunity to go after James, but did they? What do you think? Submitted by on Mon, 2007-11-19 16:09. Survivor Gaycap video blog - Week 8
Quick poll: Was Jean-Robert REALLY as dumb as they made him out to be on the show? And if so, how could he possibly a professional poker player? I thought they had to be cunning and intelligent. Have I been misinformed all these years? Granted, I don't get poker at all. My brain just doesn't seem to work that way, so my knowledge of the game is sketchy at best and mostly based on Kenny Roger's "The Gambler." So yeah, Jean-Robert = Really Dumb. It made for some entertaining TV at least. Big Gay Todd seems to have the most going on in the brains department, and he continues to pull strings and hatch plans faster than you can say "can I have a bag of pretzels, please?" I'm still rooting for him to win, although our final four promise is starting to make me a little nervous... Hello gang! Sorry about not posting last week. I hear some of you actually missed us. Or was that Michael just trying to make us feel better? At any rate, we're back this week, and hopefully better than ever. Or at least as good as ever. Maybe we didn't suck? It was another great week on Survivor: China. I think this is shaping up to be one of my favorite seasons ever. Todd is still doing very well and there's plenty to make fun of each week. What did we make fun of this week? Well, watch the video after the jump and you'll find out! Continue reading... Submitted by on Mon, 2007-11-05 11:01. Survivor Gaycap video blog 5 - Twists and Turns
How do you like that? We have a logo now. Don't worry, we still have awful screencaps too. This was a great week for Survivor fans, although Todd didn't play a big role. There were, however, plenty of twists and turns. Mark Burnett threw a new twist at us and I, for one, approved. And Peih-Gee showed she does have some brain rattling around in that big head of hers -- not much, mind you, but some. John-Groper continued his ways of extreme assiness, and Todd gracefully accepted his rightful role as tribal leader. Would that make him chief? So what did we think of all these goings on? Find out after the jump, but first... the screencap of the week:

Survivor's motto is "Outplay, Outwit, Outlast." Sometimes, I think the outwit part is the easy bit. China's crew has not turned out to be the smartest bunch I've ever seen on the show. I'm constantly surprised at how badly some of these people are playing. Have they never seen the show before? This week, Sherea refused to actually do any work around camp, Dave still overworked himself so he was useless at challenges and acted a fool when he was kidnapped by Fei Long, and John-Robert (or John-Groper as Michael dubbed him) continued on his merry march towards becoming the most obnoxious Survivor ever (after Johnny Fairplay, of course). At least there's cute gay Todd. Apparently, he's been a big fan of the show since he was 16... and it shows. I still can't get over how well he's playing the game. I'm really rooting for him to go all the way. At this point, i think they should rename the show Everybody Loves Todd. So besides a general feeling of disgust for everyone but Todd, what else did we think about this week's episode? Check out the vlog to find out. Oh, and this week, I use props! (And please ignore the part at the beginning when I call it week 3. I realize it's week 4, I just got confused...)

We're three weeks into the latest season of Survivor and our screen caps are still weird. What do you think it looks like this week? I think it looks like we're getting a heavenly visitation. No, I didn't immaculately conceive, we're just discussing the Battle of the Dimwits that was this week's episode. It seemed like everyone was trying to out-dumb each other. You know how that car company that sponsors the Survivor of the Week (or whatever it is)? It was like everyone was competing for Dimwit of the Week. Leslie, Courtney, Dave ... They were all vying for the title, but the award went to Jean-Robert, hands down. At least gay Todd wasn't even in the running. He's still playing smart. Watch our video gaycap after the break to get our take on the whole episode. Submitted by on Mon, 2007-10-08 11:03. Josh & Jon's Survivor: China Gaycap video blog: Week 2Well, Jon and I are back with our thoughts and impressions of the second episode of Survivor: China. Gay Mormon flight attendant and all around cutie Todd had another good week. He's coming on strong but subtle. I really like him and have a hunch he'll be around for a while. At least, I hope so. What else did we think? Well, watch the video and find out. We're still figuring out this whole vlog thing as we go, but I think we improved over last week, and yeah, apparently, I'm doing something silly in every screen shot. Last week it was the cabbage patch and this week looks like a still from a Herbal Essences commercial. Anyway, I think it was an improvement, but what did you think? And while we're on the subject, what do you think of the show? Do you agree with our assessment or are we way off? Chime in with your thoughts and feelings after you watch the video.
