Last night wasn't just the jazz-handiest night of entertainment on the East Coast — California got into the action as well with the Young Hollywood Awards, which crowned Adam Lambert with the top prize. Adam was reportedly presented with the award by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.

ADAM AT YOUNG HOLLYWOOD AWARDS
MY FAVORITE PICS FROM THE NIGHT and About Kara and Kris supporting Adam.
Adam talking to Hollyscoop about Kara D's Comments on The View
When Hollyscoop asked Adam if he was upset about Kara revealing that he’s gay on the View he said, “No I mean their asking the same questions everyone else is asking and Kara was just being honest, she’s a good friend of mine now that we’ve recorded together and I don’t think she did anything wrong.”
Which is pretty much what I thought he would say and I'm glad he made a point of it. There is no way Kara or Kris would talk about Adam's sexuality without his permission. I'm sure they were all prepared to be asked and I'm sure he told them to be honest because that fits with everything else he's said.
I don't know why some folks were so quick to jump on Kara. Adam was out, she simply said she knew him to be so.
Kris Allen's comments about Adam and Drake as a couple yesterday after Young Hollywood Awards (People.com Interview)
Finally,” [Adam] said at the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards Sunday in Santa Monica, where he was named artist of the year. “Once and for all” he’ll speak directly about the topic.
But the winner of American Idol, Kris Allen, 23, is already speaking out in support of his good friend and runner-up, praising Lambert for his openness.
“I think he’s happier that he can be himself and it’s nice,” Allen says of Lambert, 27, stepping out with his friend Drake LaBry. “Adam is who he is and he’s not afraid. I support him in whatever he does.”
Allen, back in Los Angeles Sunday to sing the national anthem at game 2 of the Lakers-Magic NBA championship series, says that he has met LaBry, and, “he’s a really nice guy.”
Allen calls Lambert and LaBry’s friendship a “cool combination,” because they’re so different. “Drake’s from Louisiana and Adam is from L.A.,” he says. “But they click well and they’re really nice together.”

Kradam Friendship
Expect no less
Expect no less from Adam. Ever. He is the consummate professional. AI own him by contract. Even if he wanted out of the contract, even if he despised Kara and everything she stood for, she is still a coworker, someone who is likely to produce his future work under his AI contract and the last thing Adam is going to do is play diva and bad mouth his boss, AI, or anyone who works for them. Period. Even if someone like Kara tries to steal his limelight.
Just remember, like the colonel and Elvis, AI is in fact much less with out Adam. Kara's move seemed to be a way for AI to "even" the fame.
When his contract expires, when he is old and writing his biography, we might hear a different story. For now, I am impressed with his professionalism while disappointed with Kara's. This won't be the last time that AI exercise their right to take what ever little piece of his fame (coming out eg) that they want for their own use and still end up smelling like a rose for swiping it.
That's seems to be the business he's in?
Congrats!
Congrats to Adam for winning the award! It was well deserved too.
Harvey Milk: You gotta give 'em hope.
Congratulations!
Congratulations and well deserved!
Adam did WOW the American Idol audience with his take on Mad World.

I Think He Deserved it for more than just AI
As he pointed out, he's been a working singer and actor in Hollywood for over 8 years and struggling along with a lot of other young creative folks to make their art and support themselves so it's like the Hollywood Young set are a community.
As for the sealing the thunder thing I don't think that is even an issue except for gossip rags wanted to start something.
Kris Allen has been getting tons of spreads in magazine (US, EW, People to name a few) and as many if not more tv and radio interviews as Adam.
I think Adam deserves every accolade he gets and I hope he'll just keep a good head on his shoulder and not let the Rolling Stone article become the only thing the folks are focused on.
I really hope he gets to work with someone like Pharell Williams or Timbaland because he's going to need that cross-over appeal and it worked really well with Adam Levine (Maroon Five) and Justin Timberlake to do the hook for popular hip hop/r&b songs along with releasing their own stuff.
Collaborations and crossing musical genres is where it's at right now.
When Justin and Kelly one, they treated them like a package deal for a year and no one seemed to complain about Justin overshadowing Kelly.
It's like having a gold and bronze medalists to me. They are both winners.
