Actor Lucas Grabeel (Milk, High School Musical) wrote on his blog about how working on Gus Van Sant's film changed his life, and pointed out that although he has risen to fame playing gay or gay-vague characters, he is straight. Just so ya know.

John Barrowman and hubby Scott Gill

Bizarre gossip of the day: John Barrowman may have gone to California to participate in a scientific study looking to determine what causes gayness, as a part of a British TV documentary. This fansite claims that they collected Captain Jack's DNA and had him look at sexy photos of men and women ... is it wrong to ask if they did both at the same time?

Seriously the best thing I've seen all day: Two kittens on a treadmill. (t/y Bryan!)

Anderson looks good. John and Scott make an incredibly cute couple - and that experiment could be interesting!

George Takai's wedding sounds wonderful - I'd love to see it!

And as usual, 'This Guy' is amazing hot!

that's some bizarre gossip alright about john. even if it's true, it's a bit silly....i personally don't want to know if there is a "gay gene" or whatever in our DNA. God knows what would happen if we did find that particular gene....

What, like there are no gay men in California that they could collect a DNA sample from? I'm pretty sure there's places in San Francisco where they could extract huge quantities of gay DNA right out of the carpets!

The discovery of a Gay Gene would probably result in conservatives reversing their stance on abortion.

On a more positive note, aren't John and Scott adorable? They're like the alpha gay couple of the U.K.

Seeing as John's hosting the documentary, it wouldn't have the same resonance.

I'm of the opinion that John and Scott are the most adorable couple in all of history. They make me want to clean their house and carry their groceries or something.

I do not think he said he was straight but rather playing a gay character doesn't mean that he is gay..........it also doesn't mean he is straight either. If he does say he is straight I'll believe him but if a few years from now it turns out to be a false statement he will get no sympathy from me. Any actor who lies about their sexulity in this day and age no longer gets a free pass in my book.

John and Scott -- that pic is my new wallpaper! But the pin-up boy -- maybe it's the angle, but that body gives me the creeps. It may be pumped, but it also makes me certain that I'd take someone more "normal" any day of the week. Oops! I already did!

I'm a bit annoyed that George Takei getting married was mentioned, yet, no mention of the Ban on Gay Marraige making the ballot for november wasn't....

Pretty important, yet upsetting news. At least the report seems to show positivity towards voters voting against it. Fingers crossed.
