In a continued effort to bring you all that is important in the world of gay entertainment and ensure that you are being spoon-fed images of gorgeous, commoditized manflesh, we present the newly-minted AfterElton Briefs. Following the usual assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • A Gay Men's Chorus sang the National Anthem to open Maine's legislative body for 2008, which could mark the first time a gay group has opened a state legislature with the anthem anywhere in the country.
  • GayWheels.com has added BMW to its list of gay-friendly automakers, as the company began providing domestic partner benefits to gay employees starting January 1. Finally, you can spend ridiculous amounts of money on an overpriced status symbol without the guilt.

  • T.R. Knight paid a visit back to Broadway by attending August: Osage County and popping backstage to visit some other thesps, including fello Grey's Anatomy actor Jeff Perry (pictured above).
  • RADAR compiled an amusing assortment of gay-targeted ads ranging from subtle to risque to entirely accidental. You know, sometimes a stick-shift/burrito/hotdog/airplane is just a stick-shift/burrito/hotdog/airplane.

And today's Briefs come to you courtesy of ... someone clearly reading AfterElton.com!
