Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.
- At the top you see a still from a rather hilarious online ad campaign from Canadian skincare company Reversa, which explains that the "side-effects" of its products might be one of a variety of hunky men appearing in your house in various states of undress. It's intended for women over 35, so I've officially turned into my mother.
- Sean Penn has taken his role as Harvey Milk to heart, and is getting behind a renewed effort to have the civil rights hero's birthday named a state holiday in California.
- Here's an interesting interview with actor Patrick Warburton ("Puddy" from Seinfeld, now on Rules of Engagement and The Family Guy) in which he points out that "only the most truly ignorant rube or ass has a real prejudice against them if they work in the industry and know or have worked with gay people."
- Above, 365Gay looks at the LGBT afterglow of the recent Academy Awards.
- Van Hansis has been pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy (again) for playing groundbreaking gay character Luke Snyder on As the World Turns. Atta Luke! (I would say "Atta Van" but isn't that an anti-depressant?) Local fave Billy Magnussen, who plays Casey "Butters" Hughes, was also pre-nommed for Best Younger Actor.
- The March 9 TV Guide will feature a brief chat with gay actor John Glover, who says that we shouldn't expect his character to return to Brothers & Sisters too soon: “It was supposed to be a recurring role, but I haven’t heard from them ... I think they got chicken because the romance involved elder queers.”
And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

oysters and snails!
I went through a few reversa spots, who stops at one, it kinda reminded me of the ads a while back when a male maid came in and cleaned a women's living room. Anyone remember what those ads were about?
O and for the 1st reversa product did the "eating oysters option " instantly remind anyone else of the scene from Spartacus about eating snails and oysters.
Reversa ad campaign
I don't know who came up with that Reversa website, but somebody buy that ad man a cookie. I went and watched all 15 "side effects" and had three favorites, for three different reasons.
The plumber washing the glass - that was just so...well, I was going to say suggestive, but there really wasn't anything suggestive about it, that was pure sex. I will never allow a boyfriend to use a dishwasher again.
I thought I was cheated when the cop showed me his handcuffs, but that last move of his with the key was flawless.
The garderner mowing the lawn and losing clothing on each pass - I completely didn't expect the last pass - that just made me laugh hysterically.
Creativity and a dirty mind, two things that go great together!
"Atta Van"
