Poor TR & Mark
"It's unusual even for straight women...
...to get married at that age unless they're members of a fundamentalist cult."
Or pregnant. Ironically, it's often both.
Hey, I'm just sayin'!
And can I just say how incredibly giddy it is to me whenever I see pics of T.R and Mark or NPH and David on the red carpet, at premieres, at award ceremonies, etc.! It's just wonderful, you know....

I agree...
But . ..but . . .
Mark & T.R. . . . .Smart people rock!
I think marriage is too important
Stephen Colbert for President!!
That would sure solve the gay "issue" wouldn't it? Enough said. ;)

Mark & T.R.
Mark, T.R., and Gay soldiers who died in Iraq...
I agree with you in principle...however...
Two points
First: In several interviews, Mark & T.R. have made the point that they've only been together for about six months. That speaks to their maturity -- that they realize they're still in the early part of their relationship and they want to wait till they know for sure that they're in it for the long haul. As T.R. has also said, a person goes into a relationship with the idea that it's the one that will last -- another mark of maturity.
Second: I think any age is too young to fight in an unnecessary war. That having been said, Mark strikes me as a very mature 19. I hope we, as their adoring public, are allowing them the space to live their lives and explore their relationship so they can make it last. (I have a feeling we're doing okay in that regard.)
