AfterElton Briefs: Urban Outfitters sells out, Clay's new fella, and more!

Actor Alan Cumming at the opening of Liza Minnelli's new show

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Alan Cumming will be skipping the premiere of his new film at boycott-threatened Sundance to attend Obama's inauguration. Hey, at least Tara Ried won't be crashing it for the gift bags.
  • Star says that this fella, Broadway dancer Reed Kelly, is Clay Aiken's new fella. And if Star says it, it must be true.
  • Bravo has ordered third seasons of gay-inclusive reality series Flipping Out and Million Dollar Listing, and second seasons of The Rachel Zoe Project and Tabatha's Salon Takeover. Just try and pretend you're not excited.

  • Urban Outfitters, a chain that supports itself by selling "I LOVE BEER" t-shirts, glassware featuring models whose clothes disappear when liquid is added and Christmas ornaments shaped like handguns to suburban 16-year-olds, has pulled a t-shirt that reads "I SUPPORT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE" from stores for being too controversial. Unrelated: the founder of the store is a blazing conservative who aligns himself with anti-gay and anti-choice forces. (He also owns Anthropologie. Don't shop there either.)
  • The Washintgon Post ran a suitably hands-in-the-air article about the ridiculousness that surrounds male same-sex kisses in movies, focusing on the losing battle that even the most well-intentioned of actors (cough!JamesFrancocough!) face when promoting a film in which they play a gay role.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

This guy!
