AfterElton Hot 100 Sneak Peek: Gael Garcia Bernal

Every day until the results are announced for the 2009 AfterElton.com Hot 100 poll we're leaking beefcake at a steady rate of a hunk a day (two slipped out on Monday, but we've adjusted the stream).

Today's fan-fave is Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal, who has played a gay stalker (Bad Education) and an experimenting, sex-crazed youth (Y Tu Mama Tambien), not to mention Che Guevara (twice!) and a host of other fascinating characters.

His roles may skew toward the dark, but his boyish good looks and easygoing charm always shine through.

To find out where Bernal placed on this year's list, you'll have to come back for the results. But for now, enjoy this assortment of pictures...

    He's about as cute as it's possible to be and a helluva good actor too.  The Motorcycle Diaries is one of my favorite movies and he's terrific in it.  If you haven't seen it, you absolutely should!

    and he's cuteness itself. Put him together with Diego Luna and you've got yourself homoerotic dynamite.

    Is he as petite as he looks?  He is a real pocket hottie, almost as tiny-seeming as Emile Hirsch.

    Come to think of it, a gay movie with Gael and Emile would be scorching.

    I always go see a movie starring Gael Garcia Bernal, a couple of them have been pretty awful (Babel), but most are terrific--not only is he a beautiful man but also an astonishingly brilliant actor--his performances in Bad Education and The Science of Sleep ranks among the best of the decade, imho.
