AfterElton Snapshot: The beauty to your beast for the week ending November 14

YOUR CAPTION HERE

As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun! Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner after the jump!

  • Tomorrow gay and straight folks across the country and beyond will unite in the name of equality and love. Find the protest nearest you and lend your voice!
  • You loved our first gay celebrity boyfriends piece so much, we gave you another! You're welcome!
  • Okay, whoever has the two missing inches of Lance Bass, give them back this instant!
  • MSNBC's Keith Olbermann delivered a powerful and moving message to those who voted in favor of denying gays their civil rights. Awesome.
  • We reviewed the long-awaited DVD release of The Boys in the Band.

Sophie

  • Neil Patrick Harris made EW's 25 Entertainers of the Year. You know, "Doogie" is an anagram for "goodie"!
  • Lipstick Jungle got the axe, taking a few gay characters with it. Frowny-face.
  • ABC Family will be bringing yet another gay-inclusive series, the Canadian dramedy Sophie, to the air.
  • We checked out pics from Little Ashes, where Twilight dreamboat Robert Pattinson plays "gay-ish". And we liked them. (-ish.)
It's got a good beat, and I can dance to it.

  • Vlogs! This week we introduced two sassy new video blogs for y'all. Gay in the UK gave you a fish-and-chips-flavored look at gay entertainment from two blokes across the pond, and Sounds Like a Hit! gave us a bicoastal look at pop, gay icons, and more. Mores for Gays took a look at the gay fallout from the elections, Cyd reminded himself why he doesn't golf more on Jock Talk, and Andy and I got extra-bloody on Blood Work.
  • We saw the ambitious gay musical fantasy Were the World Mine ... and appreciate the effort.
  • And thanks to our editor Michael Jensen, we had the BEST.GAY.WEEK.EVER.!

"Onlookers gawk in horror as Gwen Stefani suffers a severe allergic reaction."

Big thanks to Sakhmet for this week's wonderfully witty caption.
