AfterElton Snapshot: The good stuff for the week of April 18

As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun!

• As usual, we recapped the latest Torchwood. Be sure to check back Monday for the recap of the season finale!
• We spotted some gay goings-on in the As the World Turns InTurn web reality series.
• In light of the "mango" on Dancing With the Stars, we looked at our recent interview with the folks behind the show, who have said they're open to a same-sex dancing pair.
• In gay soaps news, the lovable Germans of Forbidden Love kissed once and kissed twice, and kissed once again. Over in Oakdale, As the World Turns' Luke and Noah fought about Ameera, but we thought the Henry/Brad bromance was far more satisfying.
• Brothers & Sisters actor Luke MacFarlane came out publicly as gay, and we couldn't be happier for him.
• The new season of Work Out premiered, and we interviewed new gay massage therapist JD, along with gay trainer Jesse Brune.
• We took a look at Logo's gay rugby documentary series, Go Dragons!
• Out actor Denis O'Hare landed a lead in a promising drama pilot, and Firefly's Alan Tudyk landed the gay role in the untitled Mutchnick/Johan sitcom project.
• We took an in-depth look at South Park's considerable contributions to gay visibility.
• Local fave Cheyenne Jackson joined the cast of upcoming gay indie Shifting the Canvas.
• We looked at the ups and downs of Saturday Night Live's gay track record.
• Our gays were safe from elimination on Step It Up & Dance.
• We were totally bummed to see Gay Greg eliminated from Beauty and the Geek, but at least he made friends and didn't screw anything up.
• We weren't throwing any rice for Kiss the Bride.
• The Flying Monkey was back to answer reader questions.
• We launched coverage of French cop drama Les Bleus, with handy-dandy subtitled clippage of the relationship between hot gay cops Kevin and Yann. (check back Monday for more!)
• Vlogs!: Japhy talked rural America on Flaming Politics, the Suck It Up & Dance! boys had a surprise visit from Mario Lopez, Two Gay Guys asked why late night comics find gays so darn funny, and The Gay Agenda talked gay marriage and taxes, and the Angry Puppy boys brought the geek talk.
• And as usual, we had the Best.Gay.Week.Ever.
