AfterElton Snapshot: Mental floss for the week of December 5

YOUR CAPTION HERE
As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each week's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun! Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner after the jump!
- We opened voting for the 2008 AfterElton Visibility Awards, based on your nominations. Be sure to vote for your favorites!
- We recapped the latest Brothers & Sisters. Scotty with tools that aren't named "Walker"!
- Clay Aiken had an important rite of passage: A gay joke on television with a lesbian talk-show host.
- Prop 8: The Musical was music to our queers.
- Top Chef says goodbye to gay number two ... and we say goodbye to our coverage of Top Chef.
- We loosened up our stiff upper lips with a tribute to celebritydom's hottest mustaches.
Luke gets a little help from his friends
- Gay Soaps: Our Gays of Our Lives soaps column brought enough suds and studs to choke Diedre Hall. On As the World Turns Luke managed to stay sober(ish) enough to get a physical and snoop around his new step-peepaw's hotel room. And on Forbidden Love, Olli almost made it home from his trip. Almost.
- The Little Ashes trailer hit the Webs.
- Dominic Cooper's Mamma Mia! dimeslot scene may have ended up on the cutting room floor, but we dug it out of the trash. All in the name of art!
- Blogging Broadway looked at theater's sexy new on-stage shtuppage trend.
- Liza? Fabulous. Her premiere? Insane.
Maybe it wouldn't be so red if you stopped rubbing it!
- We interviewed Elton John's hubby, David Furnish, who cleared up some of the misconstrued reports about recent comments made about gay marriage rights.
- Hey, there's another gay on Desperate Housewives! Too bad the last two didn't "take". Like my baptism! (Full credit: That's totally my mom's joke.)
- We gave a sneak peek at RuPaul's Drag Race.
- Milk totaly kicked ass at the box office, btw. Goes great with Sno-Caps!
- The Flying Monkey dished on the Gossip Girl guys and more.
- We looked at some of animated Christmas's most overlooked gay moments.

- Vlogs! On the final episode of Blood Work, we discussed the True Blood finale and showed off our Fangtastia shirts. Jock Talk got people talking about hunting. Rob Smith gave us a great report from the Fashion Forward fundraising gala. And Gay in the UK tackled Madonna, Boy George, and more (not literally, though).
- Graham Norton will somehow make the Eurovision Song Contest even campier. (If anyone can do it, he can!)
- The I Love You Phillip Morris trailer hit the web, and it's ... interesting. Discuss.
- And thanks to our own Dennis Ayers, we had a very witchy Best.Gay.Week.Ever!

"Dubya unwittingly pardons a turkey named Monica Lewinsky."
Big thanks to giovannif7 for this week's winning caption!
