As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun! - As usual, we recapped the latest Torchwood.
- We won a GLAAD Media Award! So did a bunch of other folks.
- Jonah Hill got gay on SNL.
- Neil Patrick Harris and Buffy creator Joss Whedon suit up for an online musical.
- We celebrated the hunk o' the Irish (ten of them, actually!) for St. Patty's Day.
- A new gay movie, For Better or for Worse, was announced.
- We asked if Jimmy Kimmel's gay jokes are problematic.
- We dug into T.R. Knight's dark, carbonated soda commercial past.
- We celebrated some of our favorite television superheroines.
- Will Kevin and Scotty get domestic partnered for not necessarily the rightest of reasons? Do we mind, as long as it means Luke MacFarlane will be back next season?
- Meanwhile, Gay Ronnie over on Make Me a Supermodel survived elimination again and made it to the final challenge, which was the nakedest yet.
- We reviewed a variety of new gay books.
- As the World Turns still has gays on it, but the attention the show got at the GLAAD Awards was far more dramatic than anything that happened on this week's sole Nuke episode.
- Steven Frank wrote a hilarious piece on the Evolution of Gay Television Characters and the latest species, Homo Sloppian.
- The Flying Monkey was back to answer reader questions, and The Week in Gay Geek recapped all that was ... well, geeky.
- Lost confirmed that a returning character is defs gay.
- Vlogs!: Jim and Penny got their Idol Chat on, Flaming Politics took on hate and answered reader comments, and The Gay Agenda sang the praises of Barack Obama's recent "race speech".
- And as usual, we had the Best.Gay.Week.Ever.
Drop your caption ideas in the comments, check out last week's winner after the jump, and have a great weekend!
