• In this week's biggest gay entertainment story, Milk earned eight Oscar nominations, in pretty much every major category for which it was eligible. But did we think it merited the fuss?
• We recapped the latest Brothers & Sisters, which was as fun as hunting with straight men.
• Inaugurationgate! Bishop Gene Robinson was cut from a concert telecast, and HBO said "not my bad!" On the plus side, he killed it on The Daily Show. Josh Groban gave a shout-out to LGBT rights. Aretha wore a big hat and we played BINGO. Oh, and an LA station refused to run an ad featuring a gay couple and their children during the Inauguration.
• Luke Macfarlane had a birthday!
• I Love You Phillip Morris to feature trademark Jim Carrey hilarity and ... graphic gay sex?!
• We looked at some of January's gay book releases.

• Gay Soaps: Our Gays of Our Lives soaps column brought a chat with the creator of Forbidden Love's Christian and Olli and some context on Luke and Noah's big week on As the World Turns. And even Best Week Ever weighed in on the big moment! And over yonder, the bisexual triangle on Hollyoaks heated up.
• Thunder from Down Under: Hot tennis fellas!
• There are several out gay men making the new First Lady look as good as she does.
• Is this the year that American Idol has an out gay contestant? We'll see...
• The Flying Monkey was back to answer reader questions.
• Trouble for gay Portland mayor Sam Adams.
• Out writer/director John August is attached to two big geek projects: Frankenweenie and Preacher.

• Vlogs! We were thrilled to roll out our latest vlog, Driven to Distraction with Dennis Hensley. In his maiden voyage he chatted up drag legend RuPaul about everything from his new reality show to Judge Judy. The Gay in the UK boys were back to dish on all that's fabulous across the pond.
  
• Rob Smith gave us a gay's-eye view of the Inaugural Ceremony, from the National Mall.
• We did a piece on up-and-coming gay musicians blowing the doors off the closet.
• Prayers for Bobby's Scott Bailey wrote about how he was transformed by the project. Into a centaur!
• And thanks to prodigal editor Michael Jensen, we had the Best.Gay.Week.Ever!
