AfterElton Snapshot: Your team of mavericks for the weekend of October 3rd

YOUR CAPTION HERE
As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun!
- Big Gay News of the week: Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden spoke about gay rights at the debate, and their responses couldn't have been more different.
- RIP, Paul Newman.
- Snicks recapped the latest episode of True Blood, which dealt heavily with a certain castmember's ... member.
- We also recapped the first episode of Season 3 of Brothers & Sisters.
- Schwarzenegger terminated Harvey Milk Day. Shocker.
- We took a look at some gay celebrity biographies from then and now.
- Ellen talked gay marriage and Proposition 8 on Jay Leno. You go, girl!
- We looked at how male nudity is good ... for Broadway.

- Gay soaps! Over on Forbidden Love, Christian and Olli helped Gregor with his love life as Olli recouperated in the hospital. And on As the World Turns, Noah came back from Rome and he and Luke kissed ... and that's about it. And we caught wind of some pretty insane Hollyoaks spoilers.
- We interviewed out Ugly Betty mastermind Silvio Horta.
- We tipped you off to what's gay in fall movies.
- Lance Bass survived kissing a girl and another week of Dancing With the Stars. And hey, isn't that Ricky from Noah's Arc?!
- In The Gay Geek, Lyle mourned the fall of The Legion and explored the anti-gay track record of a recently disbarred video game foe.

- Project Runway had another win for Team Gay ... but it's not all good news going into the finals.
- Cheyenne Jackson is headed into the Lipstick Jungle. Let's hope he takes insect spray!
- Dan covered the Top Design 2 Triathlon ... and a member of Team Gay took the trophy!
- We liked Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, and flat-out loved its gay-inclusiveness.
- Top Chef: New York will feature two gay male chefs, a first for the foodiefest.
- Janice Dickinson was pretty lame this week. Hasn't the show pretty much jumped every available shark by this point?

- Vlogs!: We kicked off several new vlogs this week. Mocha Lounge, our new video blog for, by and about gay men of color, launched with a discussion of TV, movies, and politics. And Alexi & Eric's Closet talked plain black tank-tops and celebbity crushes. On this week's Blood Work, we asked if it's possible to have too much naked Jason Stackhouse. John and Colin got all up in Kenley Spears' grill on The Heidi Chronicles, and Mores for Gays wrapped up the thrilling two-par exclusive with out actor Chad Allen. Two Gay Guys looked at full frontal male nudity (not literally), and The Angry Puppy rocked out with their ... guitars!
- And thanks to our lovely and talented associate editor Dennis Ayers, we had the Best.Gay.Week.Ever.
Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner after the jump!

"Keep your eyes on the prize, Hunter!"
