AfterElton Snapshot: Your pot o' gold for the week ending March 20

YOUR CAPTION HERE

As we go into the weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each week's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun! Drop your caption ideas in the comments, and check out last week's winner after the jump!

  • In the quietest big news of the week, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that the gay wedding episode of Brothers & Sisters would receive an honor for being "television with a conscience". Unfortunately this week's episode wasn't quite so lofty ... and be sure to join our weekly Viewing Party livechat this Sunday for the last epsiode for a month!
  • So who is Henrik Stenson and why is he golfing in his boxer briefs?
  • This week's United States of Tara featured a gay first kiss for Marshall.
  • "Sinister deaf kid" Luke (you forgot "gay!") continued to kick ass on The Amazing Race, with gay father/son duo Mel and Mike White not far behind.
  • We discussed the new series Kings, how it is handling its gay storyline, and how it's essentially de-gaying the one pro-gay story in the Bible.

Brothers & Sisters

  • Gay Soaps: Our Gays of Our Lives soaps column tackled United States of Tara's gay storyline, and much more. On As the World Turns Luke and Noah encountered a homophobic potential landlord and decided to do something about it. Overseas, Christian and Olli were back briefly on Forbidden Love, the biangle neared its breaking point on Hollyoaks, and the Clara Sheller boys narrowly avoided being found out by their mutual ladyfriend.
  • Ellen had wife Portia DiRossi on her show, a huge step in visibility for gay marriage rights.
  • Ten Hot Irishmen: 'Nuff said!
  • Rules of Engagement welcomed its first recurring gay character into the fold, with mixed results.
  • We recapped the finalists in RuPaul's Drag Race. (Dare I say, "I called it in Episode 1?")
  • The Flying Monkey was back to answer reader questions.
  • We got the exclusive first look at the trailer for Make the Yuletide Gay, a gay comedy starring Degrassi's Adamo Ruggiero and ... Dr. Beverly Crusher?! Ruggiero will also be returning to his alma mater when the Degrassi kids do Hollywood.
  • New York City subway hero Chad Lindsey is possibly gay, and definitely adorable.
