Marc and Lee, the fellas behind the Angry Puppy (nee Geek Talk) video blog, are back with a new installment in which they discuss Xbox versus iTunes television offerings, the new Serenity comic, and, possibly most importantly for some viewers, exactly what the nature of their relationship is. (You'll have to watch to learn.) My personal favorite thing about this particular installment is that the guys, ever the efficient technophiles, are apparently multitasking, as what is clearly a tanning lamp switches on about a minute into the video. If you sit close enough to your screen, you may get a little bronze yourself! Click on through the jump for the full video... Submitted by on Tue, 2007-12-11 16:52. |

Angry Puppy
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4. Parker, lecherous a-hole, notices the scar Angel gave to Buffy in the Season Finale of Buffy TVS Season 3. Buffy comes up with the excuse of an "Angry Puppy" biting her on the neck. "Angry Puppy" = Angel.
Classic...
Damn someone got there
Damn someone got there before me, lol. That was going to be my guess.
Fuck me gently with a chainsaw.
No, you don't look like Mother Teresa.
And, hey, we're not the Geek Squad!
Anymore.
A simple google search...
and i found this little gem
angry Puppy (or at least his image) is the "undefeated ruler of the Ninja Burger forum", apparently run by...
"A loosely connected clique of internet social elitists with a variety of personality disorders and general lack of attention spans." - Nikkoru
apprently the person who posts this image "cannot be contested when his (angry puppy) image is invoked responsibly - if used inearnestly, or to smite without justice - it will backfire and cause pain unbeknownst to man."
how about that then
-Rhonin Stone
Meta-geekiness
I even saw an image online where someone turned that photo fo the Angry Puppy into a Magic the Gathering card - 5/3 with the ability to spend unlimited mana each giving +1/+1...
Now that's GEEKY!
Metabaron wins!
Shame on me
Although being a huge Buffy fan, I could never have remember that. And I dared to point out that you mixed up Emma Caulfield with an other actress... Well shame on me. I guess the lesson to learn here for me is when in need of a catchy title for some project, use obscure stuff from the Whedonverse. ;) Well...
I'm just gonna go home, lie down, and listen to country music... the music of pain.
Six Degrees of Brandon Walsh
So, after our shame, I did some Wikipedia research on Emma Caulfield and Kathleen Robertson.
It turns out that they both played girlfriends of Brandon Walsh (the Jason Priestley character) on Beverly Hills 90210 in the 90s. Weird.
I still think they look alike, but maybe it was just the Azkadellia makeup. Or maybe I have some sort of BH 90210-related repressed memories?
Anya
I thought it was a bad decision by Joss Whedon to kill Anya off in the Series Finale. Although Whedon did allow her character to languish in Seasons 6 and 7, I still like Anya.
Anya would have been a great addition to the New Season 8 Comic Book series. Whedon could have explored her history as a vengance demon much more.
Does anyone think that Tara's family is involved in the "Twilight" conspiracy? In fact, I believe that "Twilight" is either her father or brother or even sister. They were all Mike Huckabee-like Evangelicals who thought that Tara was an abomination for both her magic and sexual orientation.
There is an outside chance that "Twilight" is Riley or his military friend from Season 4 played by Leonard Roberts.
BTW, is Bender seeing any one? Kidding.
I'd be very surprised if
I'd be very surprised if the flamboyant Twilight is Tara's father... to me it would seem he would stay far away from the world of magic.. moreover how could this low life lead a supernatural army?
The military is already involved in this Twilight revolution so it's still possible that Adam 2.0 (lol) could be behind it :D
Bender's relationship status
Bender is single, except for a weird relationship he's been having with cottage cheese. i'm not sure what that's about exactly but when the two of them get together he gets real excited, there's a lot of tongue action, and then things get messy. seems pretty weird but hey no judgements.
He's your what?
oh oh
i actually don't know the correct spelling of either word, but 'smizmar' is a word from Futurama that means something like lover. and 'parmechai' (or whatever) is a klingon word for mate and was a weird thing for me to say as i'm totally not a trekkie but i do love deep space nine and especially jadzia dax, which is how i know that term. ah geek love...
