Avatar of the Week: CeCe!

You may have noticed some changes on the site in the past two weeks, both cosmetic and in terms of functionality and features. We see these new features as being more than just bells and whistles, but rather the tools for building a discerning, opinionated, and engaged online community with the common interest of gay media visibility.

And that's why we're going to make fun of your pictures!

Oh, I'm just joking -- we're not making fun of anyone. But as a way of highlighting the diverse and creative group of folks that we have visiting the site (and oftentimes sharing their thoughts), we're introducing an Avatar of the Week feature. Yes, every Wednesday we will hand-pick an avatar from the current registered users and highlight it here for all the world to see.

It could be that the avatar is cute, or funny, or outlandish, or embarrassing, or the stuff of nightmares. Doesn't matter -- takes all kinds, you know. But if you've got a hunger for the spotlight, register and slap something fabulous up there!

CeCe opted for a heartstring-tug when she selected her avatar, a touching still from Brokeback Mountain. Classic, tasteful, and just a little bit depressing, this avatar puts the "Ennis" in ... uh ... "tennis"? Anyway, it's a great avatar and we like it. Thanks, CeCe!
