Avatar of the Week: daverett!

So which of you die-hards noticed that we didn't do our Avatar of the Week yesterday?

Well, we were so busy slogging through OMGOMGFANNINGSELFWILDLY top ten lists for the Hot 100 that we didn't get around to crowning this week's winner. Considering that there are a bunch of newbies on the site this week, there were lots to choose from -- but in the end we went with this guy:

daverett!

daverett has been around for awhile -- on the site, I mean. He lives in gorgeous Portland, Oregon (wut wut, Voodoo Donut!) and he loves gay stuff. daverett's prize-winning avatar is of the tried-and-true tradition of child photo avatars, in which users represent themselves with photos of themselves or other people when they were children. This is if course generally hilarious -- but in daverett's case it's even more entertaining because the photo in question is of a delightfully sissyish boy apparently squealing while holding an Easter basket. daverett, if that's you, we celebrate you. And if it's not, well ... whoever you are, I swear that when I called you "sissyish" it was a compliment.

The more I look at this, the more this kid reminds me of Fitzwilliam, my favorite character (not that there are too terribly many to choose from, granted) from The Big Gay Sketch Show. Why do I have the feeling that he was upset that the Easter Bunny didn't bring him a vagina? (If you haven't seen the sketch, there's one below)
