Avatar of the Week: sretav!

Each week we pick a notable user image from the ever-growing pool of AfterElton.com readers and splash it across our pages with unabashed affection. We usually do this on Wednesdays, but yesterday we forgot. So today's very special Thursday Edition Avatar of the Week belongs to...

sretav!

sretav lives in Canada and he is a gay homosexual. His avatar was selected this week because I have a fondness for old-timey caricatures, like the kind you'd get at the boardwalk or that used to appear on posters for college football teams. In fact, sometimes I go into a fugue state while walking through Times Square and come to my senses standing in front of Sardi's for no reason whatsoever. Hopefully having sretav's avatar handy will keep this at bay for at least a little while.

As for the picture itself, I have no idea what it means. Either it's a portrait of sretav winning an Academy Award (although wouldn't a Genie be more appropriate?) or a some sort of effigy to the Academy's continued indifference to Jon Cryer ... I'm not really sure. Either way, I love it, and we're glad to have it in our pool of images.

Thanks for picking my avatar ;o)

You like me. You really like me!

That's a charicature of moi. A year or so ago, my company was absorbed by another one and to say goodbye, we threw ourselves a big party that included a charicature's station. Everyone's charicature was holding an oscar because a couple of years before, our old company won one of those technical award oscars for our contribution to the movie industry ... yada yada yada.

I love this pic of me. I look so handsome in a completely make believe sort of way. Hopefully I don't look too far off in real life.

Thanks again for picking my avatar. Truely honoured (Canadian spelling, eh!)
