Avatar of the Week: The Nukies

That's right. In honor of the Big Gay Second Kiss (and imminent disaster, as is the wont of the soap opera gods) today on As the World Turns, we're honoring a handful of registered users who have chosen Nuke (or parts thereof) as their image.

While babystar380 chose to dress up Nuke's first kiss with some retro sparkle, lacon opted to simply feature half of the handsome couple. The image selected by twins1729 is particularly notable in that it make it look like something far more related than a towel-related accident is going on, and superherofan chose a simple approach in featuring the most groundbreaking kiss in daytime television as an avatar.

But over all, my favorite Nuke-related avatar belongs to uberaeryn. The candid snap of actors Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann sporting matching aviator glasses is wacky enough, but the added caption of "superbad" pushes it into endearing-bordering-on-unsettling superfan territory. Which is to say that it's awesome.
