Battle of the Network Gays: June 26
Every Friday we pick the gays in television who have had the best week and leave it to you, the keepers of the flame, to decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week and enjoy their own fancy button over on the left. We'll announce the winner on Monday, and that champ will reign until a new set of challengers are introduced the following Friday to try to steal his title. Last week you voted Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black into the seat of honor, but this week three challengers will do their best to shimmy their poopers into that throne. Check them out, and vote for your favorite! This week's contenders:
Vote for your favorite by 8 AM EDT on Monday, June 29. And be sure to check back next week to see which gay our readers have carried to glory! Submitted by on Fri, 2009-06-26 09:49. |

Lt. Col Victor Fehrenbach
The only two real contenders

A No Brainer...
Lt. Col Victor Fehrenbach is My Gay of the Week
Because he's awesome.
Personally I think all gays and lesbians should openly boycott the armed services in the US until the DADT policy is abolished.
Those who are able to leave should do so and state why (rather than being caught being gay)
It is a big thing to sacrifice your military career but it's the only way real change happens in the US.
The people of this country and those in charge of the military have to be forced to acknowledge the overwhelming and crucial contributions of gays and lesbians in an overt and public way before people will really move on this issue.
Kudos to those who've chosen to speak out and who were able to come out publically. They are brave men and women in more ways than one.
"That's our job today: to control the extent to which people can publicly manifest antigay sentiment." (Bayard Rustin) ** "Heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common" (Dorothy Parker)
