Best Supporting Vlog (Ep. 2): Howard Bragman and the Quest for the the Golden Statues

For their second installment of the Oscar-obsessed Best Supporting Vlog, Liz Dahmen and John Polly have snagged a guest (already!): high-profile gay Hollywood publicist Howard Bragman. Perhaps you’ve seen him on CNN or Fox News or just about every other news show, weighing on showbiz/gay/PR issues.

Howard’s no stranger to awards season, either, so he dishes about how important PR is to snagging a trophy at the Kodak Theater. He also discusses his new book, Where’s My Fifteen Minutes: Get Your Company, Your Cause, or Yourself the Recognition You Deserve. (Whew!)

That's not all: the three also discuss what makes a good Oscar (or Golden Globe) party, and how to crash the big shindigs in Hollywood.

Join the fun, after the break!

And for a few puntastic Golden Globe party recipes, head on over to NewNowNext!

Great job, Howard

And it's true about Angelina Jolie. She won the Oscar then went onto something even better -- Celebritiy Divinity.

Howard Bragman

Seems like a nice guy--but he's such a publicist. He puts the best face on everything even if it doesn't have one.

Milk does need at least 2

Milk does need at least 2 oscars, but in my mind deserves all 8 it nominated for:

surely one for the amazing screenplay, by such a young guy

surely one for best lead actor and/or supporting actor

we need it now to help our community to become more vigilant more then ever, besides, it is so much more deserving then the gloom and doom movie brokeback was. And what good does giving oscars to dead people anyway ?
