UPDATED: Big Brother 8 has at least two gay men, and one is "smart and evil"
UPDATE: There were rumors buzzing on Friday about this, but it looks official that there are two confirmed gay men in the cast: Joe and Dustin, who are listed as "house enemies" on the show's cast list. Prepare for serious drama. Dustin is a shoe salesman from Chicago.
All we know about Joe at this point is that he's 23, from Chicago, and a receptionist. And according to the words of one of the show's reps in the below houseguest preview, he's quite tall, outspoken, and utterly evil. That's just ... great. Wait, does this mean that one of us is actually going to have to watch this show now? Ugh. NotIt! As you may have heard, this season there will also be an "after dark" element, with a live feed from the house airing on Showtime in case any dirty goings-on are picked up by the prying lenses, and an interactive element that involves America controlling some of the play. Is it just me, or are we inching closer to the heretofore ridiculous vision of the hellish reality show future depicted in films like The Truman Show, My Little Eye, The Running Man, and such? Check out the intro below in which Joe confirms his gayness, but be ready to be shocked by one of the most potent Chicago accents on record. Heck, I'm from eastern Iowa and even I started to twitch a little. Submitted by on Fri, 2007-06-29 07:10. |

I think there is more than one gay guy this year... Joe and one another guy, Dustin or Justin, are both from Chicago, I think they're going to be two of the rivals/worst enemies... I'm thinking ex's.
I'll probably be watching. :) Hopefully it'll be better than All Stars.

I think that Mike was on the show "Gay, Straight, or Taken"--the episode with Jenner on it (that also featured Luciano from "Playing it Straight")...it's all so oddly interconnected.
