Blood Work "True Blood" video blog 12: Fangs for the Memories
After taking a few days over the Thanksgiving break to visit our were-cat families and stuff ourselves silly, Andy and I are back for the final Blood Work vlog of the season. (Don't cry ... it will just water the seedlings of your pain.) In this final episode, we show off our official Fangtasia t-shirts, complain about the mountain of suck that was Twilight and drop gratuitous Annie references as we chew on True Blood's big cliffhanger season finale, which left us wanting more. Check it out after the break! For more about this addictive series, check out the official website. Submitted by on Thu, 2008-12-04 09:41. |

Thank you guys for making
last Vlog
Awesome job guys! I have been checking every day waiting for this last one...LOVE IT!
I must tell you that I have been MAD as a hornet (or something like that) with the Season Finale. They have killed one of the two voices of reasoning (the other being Lafayette), and that made no sense to me! Who always had the good advice, and was kind enough to take two kids that weren't even his as his own...Sure kill the good father! lol
You noticed that everyone in the show always ran to either Lafayette or Rene for advice? So to kill off either one is very silly.
Why can't they do the "Who shot JR thing": It was all a bad dream (I know it is for me), someone kicknaped him and took over his life, he is in a coma somewhere while a demon pretends to be him...
It would work, no? lol
Be sure to check my Bon Temps Memorial blog for all the dearly departed of Bon Temps...lol
Great Vlog once again guys
I'd give the 1st season of True Blood 9 out 10. I think the murder mystery resolution in the finale was too full of holes. And, like Andy, I want to see more of Bill (like that implied Make Up Sex scene). They should have shown Bill killing the person whose blood restored him to perfect health. However, overall this is one of the two shows I really liked this season the other being Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I think that Lafayette was attacked by one of the politician's men/vampire. Lafayette threatened him with exposure.
Maryann/Michelle Forbes character: She was vibrating in front of the pig and it sounded like the pig was in distress which leads me to think that she was doing something to it. Also, the pig was MUCH LARGER when we first saw it in episode 10. It's possible she feeds off of the pigs(who may be shapeshifters) for her "power".
Guys, is everyone you know a Were-Cat? That's odd.
Wouldn't it make Season 2 that much better if Bill and Eric have a "past" together? ;) and they show it in flashbacks?
Bill and Eric etc.
Bill and Eric with a past together? I'm so there. Somebody make it happen!
Lafayette dead? I absolutely refuse to believe it! But they did kill off sweet old Grandma so . . . but NO.
Pig Lady. I'm getting a Sapphic vibe towards Tara. Am I crazy?
From episode one to the very last a terrific vlog, guys. Applause!! Applause!! Applause!!
Season Finale
I too thought it was a great season finale. It was certainly the best debut TV show.
Dexter is turning into another show I want to watch the next one seconds after watching the current one.
Must agree also about Twilight really bad bad movie.
Can't wait for the finale to Battlestar Galactica
Morning the loss of Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone
ah, i love it
TEN Vamps From ME Also
Just wanted to say, I've
Just wanted to say, I've enjoyed these vlogs so much; very funny, and you two have great chemistry together. I'll look forward to your comments next season!
I haven't seen the programme yet ---don't have HBO, and so have to wait for the DVD. But, based on the plot summaries you have given, I can say for certain that the series has already veered drastically from the plot-lines of the books. So who knows, maybe Lafayette was not the one who was murdered... (He was barely even a character in the first book---he had about three lines of dialogue if I remember correctly, and that was it.)
I'm like a superhero, with no powers or motivation...
Patiently Waiting
It took me far longer than
Pig Lady
I think Pig Lady is a shapeshifter (or, if she's not, maybe she has a connection to Circe in that she can make people into shapeshifters): Sam said that to shapeshift into an animal, he needs to use a real animal as a model. I think the vibratey business was her imprinting the pig so that she can turn into the pig later.
I also think she's running a bordello, and she obviously handpicked Tara because (at least in part) of her connection to Sam. Remeber, when Tara was stopped for DUI, she was run off the road by a naked lady with a pig: Pig Lady. She orchestrated the whole thing.
My sister gave me the book Twilight to read last year. Terrible. Very, um, needy-shallow-teenage-girly. Deliciously dubbed "abstinence porn" in the Noir issue of Bitch magazine (hehehehe).
Love the vlog, but I have to
Fangtasia
You can try the HBO store (click on the link below); I want to get one of those shirts, myself!

you guys...
Hello Andy!
Awesome as always... Did you intentionally have the camera shooting upwards directly at Andy's crotch for the first several minutes!? Festive!!!
Har!

Andy's Croutch Shot
Ok -I was wondering if I was the only one who was focused on Andy's thighs. Or perhaps Andy was doing that as a tribute to Bill who remarked to the officer who approach Bill and Sookie on the way home from Fangtasia that "...some vampires sometime like to feed from the femoral artery , the blood flows more freely down there so one doesn't have to suck as hard, or so I've been told ...."

The shirt!
Great VLog!
Love Love Love the Twilight Impression!
I'm just now finding this blog, but I am in love! You really summed up the finale well, and I loved your rendition of Twilight. Every one in my circle of friends is obsessed with that movie, and I'm the only True Blood fan. They keep telling me to watch the movie and read the books, but it seems too teeny-bopper for me. I had to pause your vlog I was laughing so hard at your "Edward" :) I'll def be watching your vlog along with season 2!
Now off to watch your other vlogs!!
Oh, I also appreciated the sailor and "room mate" crack. hehehehe
You guys are the best- we give you 10 vamps!
Thanks for a great season Andy and Brian! We certainly have enjoyed your weekly recaps and commentary.
Maybe you could do a post Golden Globes vlog in January and comment on the Best Series and Best Actress nominations for Anna and TB? It won’t make being without TB any easier, to also be without you guys! Do some off season shows!
I do a little Blogtalk radio show and would be honored if you guys would be my guests one Monday night after the holidays!
Thanks again and Happy Holidays,
"Dallas"
http://lovingtruebloodindallas.blogspot.com/Have you guys seen...
There is actually a petition floating asking HBO not to kill Lafayette. I thought the idea was fantastic!

Thought you might want to know...
Also, I could not take it any more, and started a fan group about MRJ...lol I think he is a very talented actor not getting enough exposure...(just my opinion) He was brilliant portraying Rene! In addition, I have the address where you can send him fan mail if you are interested drop me a note, or go to the group on myspace. He gave an interview on True Blood.net worth listesing to.
Ok guys, I'll stop rambling now...lol Just wanted to share these with you.
Hugs all around; see ya...
Sunday Yet, You? Rene and True Blood Addict!
Hey! I just started
Hey! I just started watching the show and randomly stumbled upon your vlog. Love it!
ANYWAYS as far as theories go...
I'm pretty sure that those were Lafayette's toes that were hanging out of the car. The nails were painted red, and I think I recall seeing him paint his toenails red in the last episode. I agree that he, along with Rene, was one of the more interesting characters in the show, and I'm very disappointed that he's dead (I haven't read the books). I'm not sure who would have killed him, but as someone said above, the senator or someone affiliated seems likely. Jessica is possible, but I don't think it was her.
It doesn't make sense to me that Sam would rush to save Sookie if he smelled Arlene or whomever. Could it be possible that he smelled Sookie's bed and it made him conclude that Rene was was at her house the night he killed Mrs. Stackhouse? I don't know...
Also, that pig lady gives me the creeps. I think you guys might be on to something with the theory that Eggs might be a pig. Or that servant guy. He never did say anything to Tara... (Almost as if he couldn't speak?)
Nice Twilight impression, by the way. I have to admit, I loved the books. The movie was horrible, though. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart just didn't work.
Priceless
Hey Brian,
I just discovered your vlog yesterday, and had to watch all of the episodes! Absolutely wonderful. Please promise you're doing the upcoming season of True Blood as well? Now that I've finally found Blood Work, it would make me a very sad panda to have to watch Season 2 without it.
P.S. Please include lots of Andy as well, though Clay Aiken can...umm....go away.
P.P.S. I have no good reason to think that those toes are not LaFayette's, but I'm going to hope against hope that they aren't, as he has been my favorite character so far. Here's hoping Sookie recovers from being a bitch, and Bill has learned his lesson about going out in the sunshine.
