Bobby, you can drive my car: Robert Gant for Volkswagen

We were watching the televisioning machine last night when, wonder of wonders, a car commercial came on (I know - crazy, right?). I'm not usually a fan of car ads but it happened to be for Volkswagen, who does a decent job as far as commercials go, so I actually paid attention.

And it paid off, because the hunky fella behind the wheel just happened to be gay Queer As Folk alum Robert Gant!

    It's good to see Robert Gant in any form. In the  UK (and I think France) Renault ran a series of ads around the concept of France versus the UK for their Clio brand.

    The British guy is Jeremy Sheffield, an openly gay actor who's been straight-for-pay in a number of heartthrob roles on British TV. I think Americans would only know him (if at all) as the hunk in Natalie Imbruglia's video for 'Torn', although he was also a feckless husband/fiance in 'The Wedding Date' with Debra Messing.
