The cast of "Hair" let the sun shine in where the sun don't shine

Last year we wrote about the Public Theater's groundbreaking revival of Hair in Central Park, which celebrated the play's counterculture spirit and highlighted the fluid sexuality of several of the main characters (particularly Woof and Berger).

After its smash run in the park, the production has moved to Broadway with much of the cast and the free spirit intact ... not to mention the infamous group nude scene. And to promote the show (previews just started last Friday), a group of the actors posed nude for the cover of Time Out New York.

I caught a tech rehearsal of the show last week and it was a blast, and I plan on going back to see the show with a packed house. (FYI, that's Bryce Ryness, the actor who plays Woof in the middle slugging whiskey, and Will Swenson, the actor who plays Berger to his right, with the blonde on his lap.)

Oh and also, as for what a group of naked people has to do with the city's best bars, I have no idea. But I hope they wiped down their glassware in case the cast of Hair ... um ... cast any hairs.
