Chuck and Larry trailer online

The trailer for the upcoming Adam Sandler fake-gay fireman comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is online -- check it out:

To be honest, the trailer isn't too encouraging -- it goes for all the easy jokes and doesn't do much to suggest that they're taking the subject at all seriously (which by all reports they actually are). But it is a preview, and its main goal is to get 18-year-old boys into the theatre (hence all the shots of Jessica Biel's various exposed bits).

Notice a certain gay-vague pop star's song being used in the trailer?

Best part 'homosexicals'.

Best part 'homosexicals'. Lmao. I think it's going to be good. I mean there's only so much of making it out to be a serious subject, when they are both actually straight. It is pretty much respectful to gays in my opinion (Like 'the only hard thing about being a man's man...' e.t.c.) and there's no harm in it trying to get 18yo males into the cinema when it's harmless fun that isn't homophobic. And I'm quite liking Jessica's bits anyway...;).

Let's Not.....

Let's not be so sensitive. I didn't see anything particularly offensive and Adam Sandler has always been gay-friendly in the past in his films. Like the above post says, it all seems rather harmless to me.

Comedy Staple

acting like a couple is a common device in comedy such as in Green Card.  No one actually believes they are a couple, the premise is a set up for the humour.  I guess fake gay relationships is a new opportunity.  Looks like it might be on par with other comedies, but there won't be an Oscar!

Loved Mika!
