Gay TV Recap: Colbert on Holsinger

In case you missed it the other night, here's the ever-clever Colbert Report's take on the alarmingly anti-gay (and bizarrely home-improvement-centric) past writings of Surgeon General nominee James Holsinger (from Wednesday's "The Word"). Unfortunately, the "Bears and Robots" Threatdown -- easily the funniest thing I've seen all week, with or without the gay bear magazine joke -- doesn't appear to be online (UPDATE: YouTube clip below, but it surely won't last). Try to catch it in reruns -- but check out the Holsinger bit after the jump.

Poor video playback

Is just me getting crappy playback of videos from the Comedy Central website? It's really too bad Viacom and Google couldn't come to some equitable agreement - surely there's enough profit to go around? Video playback on Youtube is consistently reliable while the Comedy Central clips have frequent pauses and almost never play through to completion for me. Most of the time, they don't even manage to get a quarter of the way before skipping to the next clip.

Their video site is unbearably slow. It's awful.
