Exclusive video: Watch "Laughing Matters: Next Gen" online now

Last night Logo premiered the latest in the Laughing Matters LGBT comedy series, an installment called "Next Gen". As you might expect, the special showcased an assortment of young, up-and-coming queer comedy talent in the form of six out-and-proud standup comics.

Pardon us while we get a bit braggy here, but among the comics featured was none other than our very own Daniel Leary, the host of the Mores for Gays video blog here on AfterElton.com. Now ... *sniff!* ... sorry, I just get a little choked up when I think of how proud we are of the little bugger! ... we'd have been thrilled to share the full special with you (Logo being our parent company) regardless, but it's even more exciting to be able to show off one of our very own doing his thing.

Is this what it's like to see one's child in a school pageant? Because if it means I get to skip packing into a gymnasium and elbowing fifty soccer moms for the best camcorder angle, I'll take it.

Go get 'em, tiger!

Check it out after the break!

    Daniel's Kelly Clarkson Video

In case you're as intrigued as I was to see what Kelly Clarkson video Daniel was talking about in the video above, it's "WALK AWAY"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI7YKUnrJSA

He comes in around the 2 minute mark.

Sadly, I was just that girl in the cube while I watched the video.  Singing my heart out at my desk.  God I'm so gay.

    That was PRICELESS

So nice to see a comedy act (well, six comedy acts) playing specifically to gay audiences and sensibilities, and at the same time being completely accessible to non-gay audiences.

I'm sure anyone could relate to Daniel's e-mail rant (also, his dance routine? Total win!), or to Amy's high school reuinon thing. And, obviously, the gay-specific moments, like Gloria's mother, or Edison's Tyra moment (that was HILARIOUS).

But, seriously, they were all awesome, I'd love to see a regular show with these guys!

    Best,

    J.

    So Frickin Cute!

Oh my god, I did not think it was possible to be any more in love with Daniel Leary than I already am, but seeing his explanation of gay vs straight dancing ("Above the shoulders is the danger zone") was so adorable. I want him like Lindsay wants Sam.
