For Your Hot 100 Consideration: Brad Rowe and Trevor Wright from "Shelter"

Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe

I had the pleasure of meeting actors Brad Rowe and Trevor Wright, who played surfing buddies-turned-lovers in last year's well-received gay romance Shelter, at the GLAAD Media Awards a few weeks back. Now, I've met a lot of straight actors who have played gay and made nicey-nice with their gay fanbases without really caring either way, but these guys are the real deal.

As soon as I said "AfterElton", Rowe responded, "Heeyyyyy, we love you guys!" and thanked us and our readers for voting Shelter into the #3 slot of our 50 Greatest Gay Movies poll. Our pleasure, Brad!

When I mentioned that there was another big poll coming up that both of the fellas deserve a rightful place on, here's what the guys had to say...

AfterElton.com: You guys placed high on the movies list, but there's another poll coming up, the Hot 100, and I have a feeling you guys might be in the running. Why do you think folks should vote for you?

Brad Rowe: For the Hot 100 List? You know it's funny, when we were shooting the movie for some of these scenes we would enter the room and it would be around fifty degrees, and the chemistry just burned like phospherous ... and it was like ninety degrees in there before you knew it. It was just crazy hot! And I think that's why we should be way high on the heat meter.

Oof! I'd say he's probably right! Remember, voting for the 2009 poll closes tomorrow, so if you haven't voted yet don't dilly-dally!
