The Gay Agenda video blog: Let's cruise!

Jay Vanasco from 365Gay and John Polly from NewNowNext proudly present the next Visible Vote 08 “Gay Agenda” vlog.

Feeling Primary fatigue? Ready for a winter break? Jay and John certainly are. So, they’re hitting the high seas for the first-ever Visible Vote political cruise! Ready to sail?

Taking the lead from the NY Times report on the Love-Boaty voyage hosted by the super-progressive mag The Nation, we think it’s time to mount our own gay boat trip. Dennis Kucinich is on board, Jocelyn Elders is our ship’s doctor, some Kennedys are tending bar and we’ve even drafted those strapping Romney boys as lifeguards. And since it’s a cruise, you know Rosie O’Donnell’s on board somewhere, arguing.

Check it out after the break!

Am I the only one who is

Am I the only one who is slowly developing a big John Polly crush? He is so adorable...

The vlog was different in tone this week but it was very funny. :D I don't remember Ellen being named to attend... she would be a great moderator. A lesbian who can get Bush comfortable speaking on her show deserves to be the bridge between the red and blue parties.

    I’m glad you mentioned

I’m glad you mentioned Dennis Kucinich and Elizabeth Edwards (truly John’s better half) because I, too, would love to have them on the cruise. And why must everyone bully Kucinich (bringing up UFOs)? I think USA would be a more just society if Kucinich was president!

Anyways, Ralph Nader would be a great addition to the cruise. I know a lot of people dislike him but I am confident that in the future he will be seen affectionately as a father/pioneer of the third party movement which will make USA a more democratic country where money and corporate interests aren’t as important in politics.

Also, David Rakoff would be great on the cruise. He’s funny, smart, politically knowledgeable, and happens to be gay, too. He could make politics more interesting and get more people involved.

So, Ralph Nader and David Rakoff are my picks. I’ve enjoyed your vlogs. Thanks.
