The boys also give us the rundown on some British holiday traditions (Boxing Day? Whazzat?) and explain why safety pins are a necessary part of any Christmas celebration. not bad...
tim, your american accent was not bad. if i didn't know you were british, i would probably fall for it. i tend to notice people do our accent better than we try with others...wonder why that is. hmm.....
...also, i spilled my hot chocolate all over myself when you did your britney impersonation Ryan. (i was laughing too hard and didnt put my drink down) pretty good at that. you should do more impersonations of britney...at least, for my amusement. :-P
A little harsh on Britney
You guys were a little harsh on my girl Britney, come on, of course she is very off right now given the circumstances. She is still going through a rough patch but she will rebound. At least her music is always fun.
Ahem, Liz, l see you are obviously not a fan.*gives evil eye*
...don't make me get all chris crocker on your asses!
Otherwise good. The american accent is great, if a little nondescript, like from infomercials...but much better than an American doing a british accent.
javi, I am not...
i am not a fan of britney (i think my user profile says it all) but she has made some good songs that i like. I tend to be a fan of singers who can sing live (beyonce is a great example of that for this day and age) and singers who don't sound like robots in their songs.
I will give britney points for finally getting her life together. :-)
Nice job Tim
My guess as to why they generally imitate ours better than we can do theirs is because a lot of non-Americans get inundated with American movies and programing all the time while we (generally) get very few non-American movies and shows. So, John Barrowman's accent is a mystery to you as well? It is something in between, but between American and what? I for one don't hear much a Scottish burr to it. Love both you guys, listening to you two makes me want to come back for a visit big time. Happy Christmas!
and if you want fiction...

Boxing Day
I think I like Tim's idea of Boxing Day more than any other that I've heard before...I'd celebrate that!
I adore you both and look forward to the next vlog!
Boxing Day also in Canada
Yes, and Australia as well,
Hogmanay
Hi,
I've actually just registered on here so that I could leave a comment regarding Hogmanay. It's not actually the Scottish name for New Years Day but the Scottish name for New Year's Eve.
I think I can say this with some authority as:
a) I am Scottish
b) It's also my birthday
But other than that I did love your intrepretation of Boxing day ... even if it is slightly odd.
Quite right
McAvoy a Scottish name
McAvoy a Scottish name then? I guess so what with James McAvoy! and 'Mc' names in general? (like David Tennant's actual name McDonald'.. random fact.. they both went to the same acting place, and James's wife is David's ex.. ahhhI know too much about David.. is he big on this site? or not so much as its mainly US? seems a lot more UKish than AfterEllen anyhoo

hmmm - a bit embarrassing that!
Y'know - I just watched it back again and before I read the Hogmany comment I would have criticised that Ryan for getting it wrong. [Ryan - get your act together man!]
Right - so what you guys want from us next? We need some help with:
WHERE SHALL WE STICK OUT BANDANAS NEXT?
WHICH CELEBRITY SHALL WE RIDICULE (even if we don't mean it)?
WHAT ACCENTS SHALL I MAKE TIM DO?
WHO SHALL I IMITATE?

Most amusing
First off, Tim -- your American accent was spot on. Don't let anyone tell you different! And I loved the Hollyoaks recap. That should be a thing with you -- recapping things in 60 seconds or less. ;-)
Ryan -- "AWESOME!" I nearly spilled my hot chocolate as well! And I'm glad you're putting a no-Britney rule in place. I do enjoy dancing to her stuff in clubs, but I'm really sick of hearing about her.
And lastly, I had to watch the episode twice because I was too busy watching the sign language interpretation of Hollyoaks in the background. That was amazing! Wish we had that here!
Thanks again! And Happy Christmas, Boxing Day, Hogmanay, and whatever else you may be celebrating across the pond in the next few weeks!
It's rather strange...
Watching bits of your own culture wrapped up and presented for foreigners is a bit weird. :-)
Keep up the good work though guys. You're definitely getting better and more fluent in front of the screen!
hollyoaks
You forgot to mention that one member of the lesbian hook-up is Sarah Barnes, Craig Dean's ex, which is pretty interesting because she once yelled at John Paul for "turning Craig gay." And now she is potentially the other person in an affair. Yikes!
Please Keep Returning
I found this installment much livelier than the last. I think Tim and Ryan are becoming much more comfortable with the camera.
I hope in the New Year the British film scene will be covered a bit, particularly the BAFTAs.
I want to hear what Tim and Ryan think about Kate Winslet. Is Sally Hawkins in Happy-Go-Lucky going to win a BAFTA over Winslet, who is giving two great performances this year in Revolutionary Road and The Reader. Or will Winslet finally receive a Best Actress BAFTA?
Do Britis love Sally Hawkins' performance as much as the U.S. critics?
You're very entertaining...
Thanks for continuing your vlog.
Aside: What do people in the UK think of Rupert Everett? (I find him kind of arrogant.) Other people you can mention if you like: Alan Carr, Alan Cumming (he is so adorable), and Paul O'Grady.
And Happy Holidays!
Peace. :)!
Wogan ¬______¬ and... Jedi's!!!
you guys are funny :) and the accents were good! have you seen Peter Serfinowich(sp?)'s imnpression of Wogan? its really really good. Terry Wogan reaaaallly annoys me though.
and yes yes! i only found out the Jedi thing recently and is one of the only facebook notes I have made when i found out that Brighton (where I grew up and am typing now) is the leading Jedi region with 2.6% (i think) of ppl down as Jedi on the 2001 consensus, the next closest being Oxford I think it was.. the N.average was 0.7%. I told my housemates. they did not seem as impressed as I! perhaps cus they're actually religious.. ho hum.. anyhoo i did a lil search and after ages found out the Brighton is the least relgious region (unsurpirsing) and Oxford after that (as in I scanned the figures quickly, i may have missed another place) so basically i concluded that the less religious places have more Jedi's cus I guess a christian of whatever isn't gonna put it down on the form! apparently there was a hoax that the Jedi relgion would become official if enough ppl put it.. which actually helped the consensus ppl as more ppl filled it in. that was a random tangent! anyways, it just goes to show Brighton is even more uber awesome than I thought.
how comes i can research random stats and yet when i have to look at figures for history essays its suddenly a bit "meh"..?
oh and I'm new here :) I LOVE how UKish this site is compared to AfterEllen.. due to Hollyoaks and Torchwood and this vlog!
HollyOaks IS so gay now! did not know the pub thing. about Sarah and Zoe. yeah an interview with Zoe (her real name also) she said Zoe wasn't lesbian at all.. BUT there was like a 2 second clip a little while ago where Sarah is dreaming/daydreaming of Zoe in a suit (very gay looking) who gives her this kinda suave smirk and walks up to her and Sarah seems all DISCOMBOBULATED! and from other comments I get the idea more girl stuff will happen with her.
Just watched the Ravi thing and catching up on McDean as I barely watched HOllyoaks back when..
and I don't watch I'm a Celeb but 3 gay ppl is good :) i actually recognise all thew gay ppl as well, compared to only about 2/3 of the straight ones
Oh I will prolly edit and leave yet more comments after I finish watching! :)

Tim, will you make out with me?
I thought I would just be direct. We don't get the raw, uncensored scoop on the UK here in LA and it's a treat to get it from such cute guys. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Did I say "date?" I'd settle for a snog, Tim...
