Gay men are either not sexy enough or alive enough for 2007
People anounced its "Sexiest Man Alive" online today (the issue hits newsstands Friday), and sadly there were no gay celebs in its list of 15 hunks. Still, a few AfterElton.com Hot 100-ers, including Ryan Reynolds and Johnny Depp, made the list, which was topped by the usually boyish Matt Damon (I say "usually" because he actually looks like he hasn't slept or had water for a week in the photo spread). Considering the gays that popped up in the 100 Sexy Men in a Minute feature and Perry Moore's recent snagging of the title of Sexy Man of the Week, this is a bit of a disappointment, but we'll get over it. After all, we've got our own stable of studs to keep us company, right? Submitted by on Wed, 2007-11-14 14:26. |

Did Matt Damon age or is that just a horrible picture
Other than his eyes, which are awesome, that is NOT a very flattering picture of Mr. Damon. And the title of this article is right. I love Damon in the Bourne series. That is probably one of my favorite action movie series made to date, however the boy is not the sexiest man alive in 2007, gay or straight. People Magazine...you're slipping!! You better higher some gay editors or at least some younger women editors, or at least someone with some hormones.

I love Matt Damon
both as a sex symbol and as an actor. Is he the sexiest man in 2007? No not if you just look at physical appearance. I am sure I could name at least 50 others if I put my mind to it (mind you some would be sports athletes) including Johnny Depp who is also an amazing actor.
That being said I have a feeling that People magazine takes into consideration other aspects of a person other than their sexiness. After all the magazine's main readership is women who are (generally speaking) attracted to other qualities besides looks, unlike most men who are hopelessly shallow (only sort of kidding)!
I agree with Justin this is not the best picture of Matt I have seen. BTW Justin has anyone told you that in a side profile you look a bit like a young Matt Damon? Must be the haircut!

The Talented Mr. Damon
Hmm, let's see. Smart, funny, talented, self deprecating, savvy, loyal and devoted to friends and family, caring and committed to the planet and the people on it, blushed when he received the news?
Yep, from this woman's pov, definitely sexy! And to go to the other place, killer eyes, cute grin and a hot body.
Definitely an unsual shot....
Think of Ray Milland in his Oscar winning role in THE LOST WEEKEND circa 1945.
I have seen Matt many times in person at various events, and, if you had too, you would see he can be devastating in person. When he and Ben first arrived in Los Angeles they were struggling actors with a script under their arms. The gay agents at CAA took one look at them and said, "Whatever, I am buying." Too make a long story short they quickly sold GOOD WILL HUNTING. It took three more years to get it made because everyone wanted to take a meeting with these two ultra charming men. Because they could party hearty and pitch well (I am not talking about anything sexual, by the way) they quickly moved into the upper echelons of Hollywood power players. The Oscar win secured their stay there.
I think Matt is growing into his adulthood and could well become the next Paul Newman or Harrison Ford-style leading man with a very long career.
Boston has some very fine men, checkout our very own Justin Andrews. In Hollywood that's known as a plug, Justin. LOL!!!!
