Gay slash art: Torchwood, Smallville, and more

Here's a big treat for you genre fans: art site The Theban Band (note: front page a little racy and potentially NSFW) features several series of gay slash art, mostly focused on sci-fi and fantasy stories. Above you see Torchwood's Captain Jack and Ianto Jones, and on the Band's website you can find similar work based on characters from Smallville, Doctor Who, Angel, The X-Files, Harry Potter, and more. The site also features work rooted in both historical and original mythologies.

Check it out -- some of the work is really striking. (Thanks to Dwiz for the tip!)

    Most of the pieces are legit slash -- Remus and Sirius, The Tenth Doctor and Jack, etc. But this one was just so cute I had to use it!

    I have been a fan of the Theban Band since it was a tiny little ten image site!  I'm glad to see some love shown for it!  Incidentally, I only recently found out what "the Theban Band" actually was - a group of soldiers in 4th c. BC Greece entirely made up of gay couples, created because they figured men would fight harder and more cohesively with their lovers than they would with strangers - which makes the picture on the homepage a lot more awesome ;).

    Those manips are seriously hot. I love the Clark/Lex art and there's even Sonny/Rico!
    Too bad there's no Supernatural art, but I guess it's because of the brothers thing.
