Gay TV wrap-up

I wanted to follow up on last night's triple-crown of gay television episodes. Here's a brief round-up, if anyone wants to discuss.

**Spoilery** and all that...

Dirt
Courtney Cox had a chaste kiss with Jennifer Aniston, blah blah blah. But the real disappointment was that it was revealed that Lucy's scary stalker was ... wait for it ... her gay brother! Yes, in a final attempt to ensure that we absolutely loathe this pathetic shadow of a man, the folks behind the show decided to reveal Leo (Will McCormack) -- who had already proved himself a total wuss by blatantly outing a lover out of petty revenge and then whining about the fallout -- as the person terrorizing Lucy. He was ticked at her for being evil (although he isn't one to talk) and was trying to teach her some sort of lesson. Let's hope this crapfest doesn't come back next season.

Law & Order SVU
In this case, the SVU stands for So Very Unbelievable. This week's gay preacher story had more red herrings than a Norwegian fishing boat. Wait -- it's the preacher! No -- it's his closeted gay son! But no, uh -- maybe it's the 85-pound daughter! In the end, the killer was exactly who everyone expected: Mrs. Peacock, in the confessional, with The Joy of Gay Sex.

Work Out
After an agonizing quarter-episode stretch of poorly-edited "tension", Jesse and Doug reconcile. And good for them. But more importantly ... fat people in bathing suits! Woo-hoo! This show's got everything.

Dirty Chris Meloni

I have not seen Dirt ...it sounds awful...

Speaking of awful...I was less than thrilled with the SVU episode...

I rarely watch police procedurals and was just flipping the channel when I saw Tim Daly and Chris Meloni together in the church...and thought to myself...hmmm, could be interesting...

Instead of a gripping whodunit scenario in this episode, the twists and turns proved laughable.

But getting back to Chris Meloni... I have had a 15 year torrid steamy clandestined love affair with this stud of a man and will support him in anything he does...I have a had a crush on him for years and think he's a solid actor.

Emotional post

I watched Dirt last night and I realized that I made a big mistake in the last few months by defending it. What was a potential edgy show like Nip/Tuck quickly became a show shocking people for the sake of it. The 3rd episode had so much potential but now what did we get for the whole season? Garbo the lesbian drug dealer was 2-dimensional and only was there to sleep with Julia or give drug to her.
Leo who was sweet but selfish(it runs in the family so I won't judge him on that) became the psycho gay stalker in the finale(reminds me of Quentin becoming the psycho bisexual killer in the season finale of Nip/Tuck).
Julia was a pathetic wannabe actress and needs to be slap on a weekly basis.
It was like Holtz was having a depression for 13 episodes... take antidepressants, go see a psychotherapist or kill yourself.
Don, take you F***ing meds! You wanted to kill your best friend! You almost commit suicide! Come on!

Thanks God the Riches is better that this s***.

We forgive you and your DIRT-defending ways

:) And true that on THE RICHES -- it gives me hope for FX!

I kinda hope Dirt does come

I kinda hope Dirt does come back to see the outcome of the shocking finale. I do believe Julia's dead, and of course if it gets renewed, I don't think Cox will suddenly leave her own series. Wasn't Leo already shown as bi, not gay on the show?

Thanks Brian. I'm a

Thanks Brian. I'm a recovering Dirt fan and this is not easy togo through.

About Work Out last night, since the last 2 episodes I feel so bad for Jesse when he is pissed off at Doug because he must REALLY be kicking himself right now for seeing himself treat a future dead guy that way. At least right now the animosity is gone(although Jesse was the one to blame all along).
Jackie and Rebecca... just Eww.
I wonder when Jesse will lose his "gay-fat". It would sucks if people would still make jokes about it in the season finale. I don't judge him cause I'm "gay-fat" too(no way gay chubby though). The show really makes me want to hit the gym again... but I'm way too busy LOL (lame excuse I know)
