Geek Talk video blog: Rock Band spectacular
Geek Talk hosts Marc and Lee are back, but not for long ... like many gamers, their lives have been derailed by the long-awaited arrival of Rock Band, the game that promises to turn even the most tone-deaf of assemblages into the next Duran Duran (which, coincidentally, was a tone-deaf assemblage in and of itself). Will Rock Band leave Marc and Lee strung out under a parkbench in Tompkins Square Park like the hard-living decibel-crunchers it emulates, or will the fellas live through this episode to rock again? Hey, I'm really enjoying your GeekTalk vlog. Your topics never fail to amuse, inform or intrigue and sometimes all three at the same time.
Your Rock Band comments make me wish a Wii version had been formally announced (I know it's been hinted at as a possibility by one of the game producers but there's nothing official yet). I recently picked up Guitar Hero III for the Wii as a Christmas present for my brother's family. Like Marc, I've never played this type of game before but now I'm looking forward to Christmas Day.
Thanks again for a great vlog. Have a terrific Thanksgiving holiday with your relatives and bring back some Rock Band stories.
