Battlestar Galactica Razor SPOILERS
RAZOR Was really good. Michelle Forbes' Helena Cain is the best character on BSG even though the producers stupidly killed her off.
In fact, BSG started going down hill the second they had Number 6 kill her. Can you imagine how good the last third of Season 2 would have been if they had kept Admiral Cain around? I don't think there would have been any of this "New Caprica" garbage, since I believe that President Roslin and Cain would have conspired to assassinate the evil Dr. Gaius Baltar.
The bottomline is that Razor somewhat redeems BSG from a ridiculous Season 3 debacle. Season 3 is as bad as the Sopranos Series Finale. For the record, Starbuck did die and mysteriously reappeared in Season 3 and yet, the producers want to maintain an air of ambiguity about what exactly Kara Thrace really is. However, by definition she must be a Cylon.
In fact, I believe "All of this has happened before, All of this will happen again.. again... again..." means that EVERYONE Has ALWAYS BEEN a form of Cylon Artificially created beings. The presence of the antiquated Cylons and Basestars is also a clue indicating that there are Cylons at different developmental states throughout the Galaxy. The antiquated Cylons and Basestar encountered by the Pegasus was engaging in EXACTLY THE SAME Experiments that a young Admiral Adama discovered 45 years earlier. Why would Cylons still be engaging in EXACTLY the same experiments 45 years LATER?! All of this leads to the conclusion that in the distant past, the Cylons succeeded in COMPLETELY Exterminating the human race, However, some of the Cylons felt remorse over this and they have created these pseudo-human Cylons in a VAIN attempt to relive the events and try to Punish themselves for their crimes. The "GOD" Cylon Hybrid in RAZOR, new he was going to be resurrected and that he was going to meet Kendra Shaw AGAIN; and that she will NUKE him AGAIN.
I guess the horror when he series concludes is that the real humans were long dead and that everyone in the series has always been a cylon of some form or another.
razor sharp analysis
Razor
You know, I thought Razor was great myself. I loved the tie in from the orginal series. It made me feel that the show was remembering it's roots once more. Still, the relationship between Cain and Number 6 made me laugh. The thought going threw my mind was "Man, who hasn't six slept with."
Still, Razor was a nice way to deal with not seeing any new shows of the series until April, which sucks because it was only March before, and still be able to keep a strong interest. Let's face it, we all want to know what Sal is going to do know that he knows he is a cylon.
