George Takei and Brad Altman wed in Los Angeles
George Takei and his longtime partner, Brad Altman, made honest men of one another yesterday in Los Angeles when the two men were legally wed before a crowd of friends and family.
Two two men were wed at the Japanese American History Museum, for which you may recall George won $130,000 recently on the game show Wanna Bet? The ceremony was a multicultural one to say the least, with a Buddhist monk, Native American wedding rings, a kilted bagpiper and a Japanese harp. Star Trek castmate Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) was the Maid of Honor, and castmate Water Koenig (Chekov) was Best man.
More pics after the jump - and for more on the couple and their path to toward marriage, check out our brand-new article on the main page. All our best to the happy couple and their friends and families.
